Gelding has tactical speed and can be near the front early breaking from the rail under Channing Hill. #10 NIKKI S SANDCASTLE (D) (Closer) Nine-year-old has won three of his four starts on this turf course but has not been seen since finishing unplaced in a Grade Two at Gulfstream in February. Son of 15% turf sire Castledale is first on BRIS Prime Power and Back Speed and is trained by David Kassen who wins with 11% of his runners that have not raced for 90 days or more and who wins with 15% of his starters on grass. Gelding has the class but will have to overcome the five month layoff and also a less than perfect post. #4 PRINCEVILLE CONDO (D) (Closer) Consistent eight-year-old earned top ranking on BRIS Speed Last Race and Early Pace Last Race when third in a stakes here in mid- June in his second start of the year and has won four of his fifteen starts on this course. Trainer Michele Boyce wins with 28% of her runners third time off a layoff and has won with 26% of her starters at this meet and gelding can be making late progress with Eddie Castro retaining the mount. #5 NATES MINESHAFT (E) (Speed) Front runner is first on BRIS Average Class Last 3 and comes off a second place finish on the main track here last month in his second start after a long layoff. Son of Mineshaft finished an excellent third in the Grade One Stephen Foster on the main track at Churchill last year after setting the early fractions and looks to be reaching his best form again and can be the one to catch here with E T Baird remaining aboard.

13 #6 SLIP AND DRIVE (E) (Closer) Five-year-old finished well to be third behind Wise Dan in the Grade One Shadwell Turf Mile last fall and comes off a second place finish in a stakes at Canterbury in mid-june in his first start since October. Son of Artie Schiller is first on BRIS Current Class and is from the barn of Hugh Robertson who wins with 17% of his runners second off a layoff and bay could be a contender running from just off the pace with Seth Martinez up. #9 ALL STORMY (D) (Presser) Dark bay was last seen when unplaced in the Grade Three Hanshin Stakes over a mile here in May and has a record of on grass. Son of 15% turf sire Stormy Atlantic posted a five furlong work in 1:00 here six days ago for trainer Greg Geier who wins with 15% of his runners second off a layoff and colt, who finished second in the American Derby here last year, has speed and can be near the front early with Jeffrey Sanchez up. #7 FRIENDLY BANTER (U) (Closer) Son of Distorted Humor comes off a win here in mid-may when running from off the pace and now has a record of on this turf course. Trainer Louie Roussel wins with 16% of his runners that have not raced for days and has won with 26% of his starters at this meet and gelding can be running late but does face a fair class hike here. #8 BURN THE MORTGAGE (E) (Stalker) Four-year-old has not been seen since finishing unplaced at Keeneland in April but won his one previous start on this turf and has been working well for Michael Tomlinson who wins with 13% of his runners that have not raced for 90 days or more. Son of excellent turf sire Kitten s Joy has a record of lifetime on grass and can be stalking the early leaders under Francisco Torres who won with both of his last two mounts for the barn. #12 TAZZ (E) (Presser) Son of Roar of the Tiger has won six of eighteen starts on this turf course and comes off a fifth place finish on the main track here last month in his third start of the year. Trainer Christine Janks wins with 14% of her runners on grass and gelding has some speed but will have to overcome a wide post and barn is not having the best of meets. #11 MR. VEGAS (D) (Speed) Six-year-old has not been seen since finishing second after setting the early fractions here in a stakes over a year ago and has a record of on the Arlington turf course. Trainer Richard Scherer wins with 13% of his runners that have not raced for 90 days or more and gelding has speed but will with a wide post and other front runners entered faces a tough task in his return to the races. #2 BROWNEYED BACHELOR (E) (Stalker) Son of Saarland will make his turf debut and was last seen when unplaced at this level on the main track in late June. Trainer Frank Kirby wins with just 3% of his runners first time on grass and gelding finds a tough spot for his first try on the surface. Race 11

14 #3 MYSTIC (E) (Closer) BRIS Prime Power selection earned top ranking on BRIS Late Pace Last Race when fourth here at this level over a mile and a sixteenth when not helped by starting from a wide post and trying to close into slow early fractions. Trainer Richard Scherer wins with 15% of his runners on grass and has won with 18% of his starters at this meet and six-year-old should get a better trip from a good post with James Graham taking the mount. #8 BLUEGRASS BULL (D) (Closer) Son of 10% grass sire Bluegrass Cat is first on BRIS Current and Average Class Last 3 and comes off a win over a mile and a half here three weeks ago. Dark bay has now won both of his starts on this turf course and has an overall record of on grass for trainer Tim Ice who wins with 12% of his runners that won their last start and five-year-old can be a factor late from off the pace with Kent Desormeaux in the saddle. #2 SNAPPED (E) (Stalker) Gelding earned top ranking on BRIS Speed Last Race when benefitting from a good trip while defeating the top selection here three weeks ago in his third start of the year. Son of Monashee Mountain has now won four of his nineteen starts on this turf course for trainer Frank Kirby who wins with 11% of his runners that won their last start. Seven-year-old can be near the front from the start with Edgar Perez remaining aboard. #1 CUSTER (E) (Stalker) Dark bay comes off a second place finish over a mile at Ellis early this month and has a record of on turf. Trainer Lon Wiggins has won with 12% of his runners since the start of the year and wins with 8% of his starters on grass and son of High Yield can be stalking the early leaders breaking from the rail under Chris Emigh. #10 LEMONADE KID (D) (Closer) Eight-year-old has won two of his fourteen starts on this turf course and was last seen when showing little against better here in May in his first start of the year. Trainer Tony Mitchell wins with 7% of his runners that have not raced for days and with 8% overall on grass and son of 13% grass sire Lemon Drop Kid can be trying to close late with Florent Geroux up. #6 GREYTAP (D) (Stalker) Gray has a record of on this turf course and comes off an unplaced effort on the main track here early this month. Son of Tapit is also trained by Frank Kirby who wins with 9% of his runners on grass and five-year-old fits at this level with Seth Martinez aboard. #5 PROFESSOR PALMER (D) (Stalker) Chestnut may have found twelve furlongs too far when unplaced against better in his latest after pressing the early leader and has won four of his twenty one starts on grass. Trainer Ingrid Mason wins with 19% of her runners on turf and has won with 19% of her starters this meet and gelding can be better suited to this distance. #4 PRAIRIE BREEZE (D) (Closer) Son of Castledale was no factor in the same mile and a half event that several others that line up here come out of and is trained by Charles

15 Livesay who wins with 13% of his turf runners. Gelding may be better over this shorter distance but has failed to win in fourteen starts on this turf course and still needs improvement to be a contender in here. #9 BLUEGRASS JET (D) (Closer) Five-year-old made some progress to finish third over a mile and a half in his latest here three weeks ago and has won three of eighteen starts on grass. Trainer Paul Lewellyn has won with 10% of his runners at this meet but wins with just 6% of his starters on turf and deep closer may be best over longer distances. #7 DANDYMAN (E) (Presser) Dark bay finished fifth in his latest over five and a half furlongs on the main track early this month while earning top ranking on BRIS Early Pace Last Race and has won one of his nine lifetime starts on grass. Trainer Mark Cristel wins with 9% of his runners going from a sprint to a route and son of Mancini may well be in front early but is likely to fade late.
