3 Ring 1 Show Jumping Start 0930hrs Class 1 Novice Two phase competition. Jumps not to exceed 90cm in the second phase Entry Fee: 8 Class 2 Pairs Baton Relay Each horse and rider will complete one round against the clock before passing the baton to the next rider. Entry Fee: 12 Class 3 Open Two phase competition. Jumps not exceeding 105cm in the second phase. Entry Fee: 10 Class 4 - Top Score Each horse and rider will have 60 seconds from the start line to the finish line and is able to jump any obstacle twice if not knocked down. A joker fence will be available. Jumps not to exceed 1m, joker not to exceed 1.10m Entry fee: 10 Prizes to 3 rd Rosettes to 6 th Ring 2 Clear Round Starts 0930hrs Running throughout the day. There is no limit on how many times a competitor can enter. Fences will be 80cm 2 per round

5 Show Jumping Rules Faults Knock down First Disobedience Second Disobedience Fall of rider Fall of horse Each second over the optimum time 4 faults 4 faults Elimination Elimination Elimination 1 time fault Two Phase The competition comprises of two phases run without interruption, the finishing line for the first phase being identical with the start line for the second phase. The first phase is not against the clock with a time limit of two minutes. The first phase is a course of 7 to 9 obstacles. The second phase takes place over 4 to 6 obstacles. Competitors with faults in the first phase are halted by ringing the bell after the last obstacle has been jumped. Competitors no penalized in the first phase continue the course which finishes after crossing the second phase finishing line. Competitors are placed according to penalties and time in the second phase. Top Score Each obstacle is clearly marked with a number of points from 10 to 120 according to its difficulty. Combinations are not allowed. The time allowed is 60 seconds The round starts when the competitor crosses the starting line in either direction. The competitor scores the number of points allotted to each obstacle provided it is jumped clear. No points are scored if the obstacle is knocked down An obstacle which is knocked down or displaced will not be rebuilt. Each obstacle may be jumped twice. Jumping it a third time will score no points. Disobediences are not penalized. However the judge has the choice to retire a competitor. The bell is rung as soon as the time allowed is reached. The competitor must then cross the finish line to allow their time to be recorded. If the competitor does not cross the finish line they will be placed last of the competitors with the same number of points. The number of points allotted to the last obstacle jumped clear will be included in the score provided the horse has already started the take off at the moment the bell is rung. Jumping an additional obstacle after the bell has rung will not be penalized. An additional obstacle may be included on the course, to be known as the joker. The joker must be built as an upright and should be significantly higher than the other obstacles on the course. The joker may be jumped twice to score. If jumped clear 200 points are added but if knocked down 200 points are deducted from the score. In the event of equality of points time decides. Baton relay The competition is for teams of two. All members of the team enter the arena together. The first competitor jumps the course and having jumped the last obstacle passes the baton to the next member of the team, who then jumps the course. Failure to pass the baton incurs elimination If a competitor makes an error for which the normal penalty is elimination the bell is rung, the next member of the team takes over the baton and completes the course before starting their round. If the baton is dropped, the competitor must dismount recover the baton and remount before continuing their round or passing the baton to the next team member. Failure to do so incurs elimination. The team time is the time from the first competitor crossing the start line to the last competitor crossing the finish line.

6 Tent Pegging Rules Swords to be ideally of the 1908 pattern, however any straight bladed pattern may be used provided the length and parameters are met. Lances may be of any material but must be between 7 6 and 8 6 in length. Points should have a smooth 3 sided point without barbs or serrations to hold the peg. Lance butts may be slightly pointed but should not be sharp. Lances may be inspected by the judges. Revolvers should be any blank firing forward venting Home office approved revolver. Prickers are to be 2 feet in length exclusive of the point which is to be ½ inch long. The competition will be run in accordance with British Tentpegging association rles. Dress Regulations HM Forces. No2 service jacket ( or service equivalent should be worn ), shirt and tie, service authorized coloured breeches and black riding boots. All Others. Show jacket with either stock or tie. Cream or white breeches as well as black riding boots. Safety Precautions A. It is mandatory for all riders to wear a protective 3 point fastening helmet with the chin strap correctly fastened and manufactured to EN1384, ATSMF1163, PASO15 or SNELL E2001 with a kite mark. Any one found in breech of this rule will be eliminated. B. Body protectors are optional C. The wearing of ear studs, nose studs and all other items of jewellery, which might become entangled and thereby cause danger or discomfort to horse or rider is forbidden. Long hair is to be secured appropriately. D. If in the opinion of the event CO-Ord or a steward, a competitor is unlikely, for any reason, to complete the event without injury to them or the horse they may be withdrawn from the competition. E. Any rider in the opinion of the Event Co-Ordaffects the safety of the horse, rider or 3 rd party will be considered as dangerous and will be asked to withdraw from the competition. F. Warm up fences are to be no higher than the height of the associated class. G. Horses are not to be left unsupervised when tied to the outside of trailers or lorries. H. Spurs, if worn, must be be of smooth metal, without rowels and if curved, the curve must point only towards the rear and be no longer than 3cm. Spurs of excessive severe design are not to be worn. I. Whips are not to be longer than 75cms in length nor weighted or with a hard point at the end. J. There is to be no mucking out of trailers or lorries in the trailer park. K. Saddlery and tack must be in accordance with British show Jumping and the British Tentpegging Association. Liability. Save for death or personal injury shown to be caused by the negligence of the organizers, or anyone for whom in law they are responsible, neither the organizers of the event to which these rules apply, nor the Army, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way. Therefore, it is the responsibility for every rider to have their own insurance. Directions. Leave the A303 at Amesbury roundabout taking A345 to Durrington. At next roundabout where the A345 meets A3028 from Bulford, turn towards Larkhill Garrison. After 400 yards, before Larkhill sign, turn right onto a cinder road signed Knighton Down and ARAHT. Follow ARAHT signs for Approx 1.5 miles There will be a ticketed BBQ running from 1830hrs on the evening of the 20 th all are welcome. Tickets will be available from the Entries Secretary on the day.
