Canberra DATE: Sunday 13th th September ORGANISATION: The Meeting will be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, and the Rules of Karting Australia. 1.4 MEETING STATUS: Club (Note: In accordance with General Rule Chapter 1 Rule 7d) this Race Meeting is only open to members of the organising Club or of any explicitly named invited Club i.e. this meeting is not a State, Zone or National level meeting.) 2 2. ADMINISTRATION 2.1 The Classes, age and weight divisions listed in the table below are permitted to Compete at this Meeting. Minimum licence requirements are in accordance with KA Class Rules. 2.2 ENTRIES Endurance Subaru KX21 175KG Senior a) Entries Open: Once supplementary regulations have been approved. b) Entries Close: 5.00pm, Wednesday ENTRY FEE a) The Entry Fee for each Class at this Meeting including GST and TDF Levy is as follows: b) Competition Class Name Per Driver Entry Fee Entry Fee Endurance Subaru KX21 $300 (Team) $23 per driver 2.4 ENTRY PROCEDURE a) Entry forms are available on the club website under the forms tab. b) Payment of the Entry Fee is by direct deposit direct to the SKANSW Inc. Club bank account. Details are on the race entry form. 2.5 MINIMUM ENTRIES a) 15 is the minimum number of pre entries which must be received for this event for the endurance race. If insufficient entries are received for a Class and/or weight division, the class may be cancelled or combined at the discretion of the Organiser and in accordance with the Rules. b) The Entry Fee may be refunded at the discretion of the Organiser and in accordance with the Rules. 3. COMPETITION 3.1 FORMAT OF RACING a) Practice 9.00am 10.15am b) ENDURANCE RACE MEETING Grid determination for the Endurance Race will be an all field shoot-out. The order of the shoot-out will be determined by times recorded in the timed practice session. The slowest kart from timed practice will take the circuit first, the fastest last. Each kart must nominate a driver for the shoot-out, the driver does not have to start the race. The driver participating in the shootout will get one out lap, one shootout lap, and an in-lap. Drivers must not impede another kart whilst they are on the circuit. Any driver seen to impede another will start rear of grid. The Endurance Race The winner of the Endurance race will be the kart/team that has completed the most number of laps and receives the chequered flag first. All D Grade drivers who will be starting the 500 Lap race must start rear of grid and notify the Clerk of Course of their kart number prior to the session. 3.2 ACCESS TO CIRCUIT a) Competitors will be permitted to enter the facility from 6.00am hrs on 13 th September 2015

3 b) Competitors will be permitted to enter the circuit from 9.00am hrs on 13 th September DRIVERS BRIEFING 3.4 FUEL a) Time: 7.45hrs Location: In the Out-grid a) Caltex Vortex 95 or 98 is the control fuel for this meeting, to be purchased from a Caltex service station no more than two days prior to the event. Fuel must be contained in 20Ltr Yellow or Red fuel containers with your kart number displayed on the container. Your fuel receipt must be brought along with your kart to scrutineering so you can be marked off. Your scrutineering form will not be signed if fuel and receipt are not produced. Your fuel will then be handed over to the refueller who will pour it into the race meeting fuel rig. Competitors must supply their own control fuel for practice, qualifying and the commencement of the race until their first compulsory fuel stop during the 500 Lap Endurance Event. All refuelling thereafter will be administered by the fuel marshall from the race meeting fuel rig. The amount of fuel you will need to purchase for this event to supply to the race meeting is 20Ltrs. There will be one (1) refuelling bay only. A fuel board will be used to determine the order of fuel stops during racing. When a team wishes to pit for fuel, they must place their number on the fuel board. The kart number at the top of the fuel board is next to pit, once that kart has pitted for fuel the number is crossed out and the next kart number on the board is next to pit. Once a team s kart number is top of the list to pit, the team has three laps to pit their kart. If the kart does not pit within three laps the team loses their opportunity to use the fuel bay and is removed from the list. CIRCUIT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 4.1 PADDOCK ALLOCATION a) Pit space is on a first served basis 4.2 MEDICAL SERVICES a) Any Medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours when Kart s are not on the Race Track please contact 000. SKANSW Inc. have trained First Aiders on-site at all times. 4.3 KART RETRIEVAL a) Pit Crew with trolleys will not be given access to the Circuit during Qualifying and Racing.

4 b) Retrieval of karts is at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course c) Pit Crew must only enter the Circuit when permitted by the Grid Marshal or Clerk of Course and then only if wearing a high visibility safety vest on the upper torso. d) Karts can be retrieved via pit lane exit during the race, only once the Clerk of Course has given permission to retrieve the kart at either the conclusion of a qualifying session or sprint race, or in the case of the endurance race once the race has been stabilized by a Safety Kart period. 4.4 STANDING SKANSW Inc. REGULATIONS 500 Lap Endurance Race 1.Race Distance The chequered flag will be shown to the kart that completes the 500 lap race distance in first position. Should the race become a time certain event the chequered flag will be shown to the kart in 1 st position at the completion of the first lap after 4.55PM on the official timing screen. All karts must complete all their compulsory pit-stops to be classified as a finisher whether the race runs the full 500 lap distance or becomes time certain. 2. Minimum Number of Drivers The minimum number of drivers for this event is two (2) drivers. Cross entering of drivers between teams is not allowed. 3. Pit Stops & Compulsory Driver Changes Sundays 500 lap race will require teams to complete; Minimum 10 driver changes Minimum 2 fuel stops To be classified a finisher all of these stops must be completed prior to the chequered flag being shown to the lead kart to signal the end of the 500 lap race. The maximum number of laps allowed per driver over the race distance is 275 laps per driver. During the race, no driver is permitted to drive for more than sixty (60) Minutes without a driver change. Ensure the time that your driver first crosses the start/finish timing loop, to the time your next driver first crosses the start/finish timing loop, does not exceed sixty (60) minutes or you will be penalised. A minimum break of at least twenty (20) minutes must be taken between driving stints. Please note, the loops vary from track to track and it is the team and drivers responsibility to know the location of these loops and how this effects the measurement of the 1hr maximum driving stint. The time keeper s decision is final. There will be a computer lap penalty of five (5) laps for each breach of this rule. A pit loop will not be in use at this event. Compulsory pit stop forms and the pit lane marshal s paperwork will be used to verify driver changes and stint lengths. A compulsory driver change is defined as either : a) A driver enters pit lane, brings the kart to a complete stop, alights from the kart to finish their driving stint, a second driver enters the kart to begin a new driving stint in the race. b) A driver enters pit lane, brings the kart to a complete stop, alights from the kart, stands clear of the kart and raises their hands in the air. The same driver re-enters the kart, and continues their stint in the race. In this circumstance, the 60 minute stint length does not reset this is considered to be a continuation of the one driving stint. A Fuel stop and Driver Change cannot be completed during the same tour of pit lane. If a team has completed a fuel stop, the kart must first exit pit lane, complete at a minimum one full lap of the circuit, before returning to the pits to

5 do a compulsory driver change. If a team has completed a driver change, the kart must first exit pit lane, complete at a minimum one full lap of the circuit, before returning to the pits to do a fuel stop. Teams who have entered pit lane as directed by an official for any form of penalty, or weigh-in check, cannot complete a driver change or fuel stop at any time during this tour of pit lane. Ballast Rules Any ballast placed into karts during pit stops must be firmly secured by two mechanical fixing points with the fixings being of metal construction. This is to be done while the kart is stationary. 5. Lights Solid red lights on the rear of the kart are to be turned on through all periods of low visibility and night time racing. 6. Weighing of Karts Karts may be weighed during or at the conclusion of each event at the discretion of the scrutineer / clerk of course. Should a competitor fail the first test they may request one additional test only. Minimum weight of kart, driver is 175KG at all times. 7. Pit Area Driver Change Area No Mechanical repairs are permitted in the driver change area. The only work permitted on a kart in this area is tyre pressure adjustment using a hand pump or air bottle and tyre pressure gauge. Changing of ballast weight is permitted here. Only tools required for lead/ballast changes are permitted in this area and all items must be removed to a safe location immediately after use. Any breach of this rule may incur a penalty of up to 5 laps for a first offence. During the event (including practice, qualifying and race) only the driver getting out of the kart and the driver getting into the kart and one pit crew are permitted in the pit area. Once a pit stop has been completed they are to leave the pit lane immediately. Lubing of chains can only be done in the designated areas. Carpet will be placed on the pit lane surface so that chain lube does not get onto the concrete surface of the pit lane. During practice, qualifying or the race, the pit area, break down lane (driver change area) may be closed to all competitors for reasons of safety, forced majeure or to ensure fairness to all competitors. Normally a full course yellow will be enacted for this period. After the full course yellow period ceases, competitors must complete one full lap under green flag conditions before entering the pit lane. Should a driver be stuck on the circuit in a full course yellow situation and their one hour driving limit be exceeded due to being unable to pit, so long as the driver pits after one full lap of green flag conditions the team will not be penalised The pit lane is closed as soon as the SK (Safety Kart) boards are displayed. 8. Tyres One (1) set of prescribed SL1A dry weather tyres are permitted from Qualifying onwards. This set of tyres will be marked. There is no restriction on the number of Dunlop KT6-SLW1 wet weather tyres. Damaged or worn out tyres (by the way of force majeure) must be reported to and be inspected by a Scrutineer or official prior to the kart leaving the grid / impound area. Replacement(s) will be at the competitors cost. Drivers receiving a replacement(s) will be required to start at the rear of the grid, the only exceptions to this is a tyre with a manufacturing defect (as approved by the tyre representative and / or scrutineers) and / or the competitor electing to use and approved used tyre. 9. Fuel Stop Penalty Should a team not complete the nominated number of fuel stops a penalty of fifteen (15) laps will be issued post-race. 10. Transponders

6 Transponders must be compatible with AMB My laps & supplied by the competitor. 11. Parc Fermé Following qualifying karts will return to pit lane to be weighed. The period between qualifying and the race is a parc fermé situation. The driver who qualifies must start the race. All karts will return to the pits following the endurance race. Once again this will be a parc fermé situation until an announcement is made by the clerk of course. During this time post-race scrutineering will occur. 12. Pit Lane Speeding Pit Lane speed at all times is not to exceed 13KMH. A radar gun to determine pit lane speed will be in use. 13. Pit Lane Closed Board A board stating Pit Lane Closed will be in use at all flag points. It is at the discretion of the Clerk of Course to close pit lane when there is an incident on the circuit which may or may not result in a full yellow caution period. The flag marshall at this flag point will communicate to the clerk of course the kart number the board was shown to first to eliminate any disputes about illegal entry into pit lane. 14. Full Yellow Caution Periods Any kart in the pit lane proper that has not passed the Pit Lane Closed board or an SK Board can complete their pit stop and return to the circuit under the yellow caution at the back of the train karts. Such pit stop procedures include driver changes and fuel stops. Should a kart be in the mechanical repair bay, the kart may re-enter the circuit once repairs are effected under the yellow caution period at the back of the train of karts. Under this circumstance however, the kart may not proceed to the refuelling bay. When a full course yellow is indicated via use of the SK boards and yellow flags (or lights) pit lane is closed to all karts on the circuit proper. Competitors must slow down. The clerk of course will indicate to the leader to slow down to a much reduced pace and the driver will raise their hand. All other karts will be given time to catch the lead kart driving at a sensible but reduced pace. Once all karts are in a train and the track is safe to return to full racing conditions the green flag (or green lights) will be shown to the train of karts at the start finish line indicating a restart to racing conditions. Under the restart no kart may pass another until crossing the start finish line. POINTS The following points will be awarded towards the championship totals of SKANSW Inc. 7 21 st 22 nd 23 rd 24 th 25 th 26 th 27 th 28 th 29 th 30 th For the Endurance Race, there are two classes PRO CLASS and CHAMP Class All teams race for outright points in the SKANSW Inc Endurance Championship. CHAMP teams also race for the SKANSW Inc CHAMP Class Cup. Points will be awarded for both championships as per the above point score. 4.5 ADDITIONAL VENUE REQUIREMENTS a) No animals allowed anywhere within the facility. b) No dumping of Fuel or Tires, please make own arrangements. c) No unlicensed driving of motor vehicles permitted at the circuit. d) No motorized scooters, mini bikes, roller blading, skateboards and tricycles allowed at the complex during the entire Meeting. Officials may confiscate any such items for the duration of the Meeting. e) No alcohol is to be consumed in the paddock area whilst competition is in progress. f) Camping is not permitted. g) Smoking is not permitted in the Paddock & Spectator Areas.
