Early next week, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is in studio, joined by contender Daniel Cormier to preview their upcoming Sept. 27 title fight at UFC 178. The pair s well-publicized back-and-forth banter has been magnified since the announcement of this fight, and their appearance on the show promises to be filled with fireworks. Veteran NASCAR on FOX on-air personality Steve Byrnes makes his debut as Truck Series play-by-play announcer at Pocono, a role he shares with Adam Alexander. In addition, two-time NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES champion Todd Bodine joins the FOX Sports 1 on-air crew in the booth for Cup Series practice and qualifying at Pocono on Friday, August 1. Heading into Saturday s NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES race, the 11 th of the 22- race season, only six points separate the top three drivers. Ryan Blaney claimed the points lead after Wednesday s race at Eldora Speedway, remarkably climbing from ninth to first in the six races since Charlotte in mid-may. Reigning champion Matt Crafton sits four points behind Blaney, followed by Johnny Sauter (-6), four-time champion Ron Hornaday Jr. (-19) and German Quiroga Jr. (-26). Rookie Brandon Jones, 17, looks to extend his perfect streak after winning two consecutive races in as many series starts. Despite suffering a gear problem last weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway that broke his 20-race streak of top-10 finishes, Mason Mitchell maintains the points lead over Grant Enfinger, a four-time winner in 2014, by 40 points after 12 of 20 races. Pocono looks to be another strong track for Mitchell, who finished second in June to NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES rookie Kyle Larson. Will Kimmel, a third-generation driver and the nephew of 10-time ARCA RACING SERIES champion, Frank Kimmel, finished fourth in that race as part of a limited schedule, and returns to Pocono this weekend.
