FROM SARA S SPOT A reminder that winter wasn t over arrived with blizzard warnings and snow just when spring seemed to be around the corner. Luckily, it came later and did not affect the State Indoor Championship as it did in Attendance this time was higher than it has been for several years. Thank you to all the folks at Springfield Archery for your hospitality in letting us have our event in your range. The IAA convention will be held March 6, 2016 at Route 66 Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield. Registration 9 AM to 10 AM. The delegates and board meeting will start at 10 AM. Lunch will be served with the cost of $ The awards will be presented following the noon banquet along with the gun auction. Any IAA/NFAA member is welcome. Please or call Sara by February 27 if you still need to register. Clubs will be bidding on the shoots at the convention. A list of shoot dates is listed in the coming events. A delegate from your club must be present for your club to bid on a shoot. Your vote count will be determined by the number of NFAA/IAA members your club has listed at NFAA. An auction for a Taurus Model Mag, stainless steel with black rubber grips, 7 shot revolver will be taking place at the convention. The opening bid is $472. Bidders must be present and have a valid Illinois FOID card. This gun is available from the July gun raffle when the ticket winner opted to take the cash.

2 Congratulation to the IAA Vegas shooters! Many participants from Illinois did a great job competing with 3,100 shooters at the 50 th anniversary of the Vegas shoot. Some of the notable scores in the adult classes were Cassie Flood AFFS #1 Flight 3 and Robert Wolfram SMFS #6 out of 110 shooters in his class. The youth also did an outstanding job with Jaden Chada CMFS #4 Flight 1, Kaylee Brodie CFFS #22 and Alexandria Gobert #32, Lauren Iodice YFFSL #36, Kate Iodice YFFS #24, Sarah Lester YAFFS #20, and Christopher Renaud YAMFS #8. *Submit your shoot results by to iaaresults@il-archery.com or iaasec@il-archery.com for posting on the website and in the monthly bulletin.
