2 Hello Everyone, Harry Costa and his daughters, Holly, Julie and Toni hosted a wonderful meeting at Traxx in Petaluma. They made us feel so welcome and treated us like royalty. Thank you. We had two Classic Thunderbirds that braved the wet weather. Don and Lisa Hillman and Mike and Maryanne McLucas were not going to let the rain keep their Thunderbirds home. What a great way to show support for the club. As you probably have heard by now Harry decided to sell his Thunderbird after 30 years of enjoyment. The car sold in less than a week. Don't count Harry out, he is still part of our Thunderbird family and we are hoping to see him every month. How did Harry's car sell so fast? Herman and I went to Harry's and took a lot of photos and talked with Harry about the history of his car. Herman put together a four page flyer in.pdf form and ed it to as many CTCI Newsletter Editors as he could. Those Newsletter Editors then ed the flyer to many of their members. A serious buyer contacted Harry and his Thunderbird sold. Never under estimate the power of the internet. SOLD I would like to send a big "Thank You" to Mike McLucas and Brant Minetti for taking care of the Raffle. As each host prepares for their meeting, please help them by getting in your RSVP as soon as possible. Next month Andy and Marla are hosting our April. I hope to see you all there. Were you aware that our Web Site was hacked by malware on Feb 21st resulting in a suspended site for 2 days? When you log on now there will be a seal (see below) in the lower right corner signifying our site is Malware free. We are now completely protected along with being scanned on a daily basis. I do not want to repeat that week-end, it was absolutely no fun.

3 Greetings to Thunderbirds of Sonoma Members, It may have been a dark rainy day, but two Classic Thunderbirds and one retro Thunderbird risked getting their feathers wet to attend our March meeting. Mind you, I'm not complaining, California need every drop of moisture from the heavens that we can get. We all met at Traxx Bar & Grill in Petaluma for a wonderful meal and fellowship with fellow Classic Thunderbird Enthusiasts. Harry Costa and his three lovely daughters hosted the meeting to our pleasure. Those in attendance were: Harry Costa and daughters, (Toni, Julie and Holly), Barbara Buckingham, Duane Ornbaun, Herman Schulze, Tim Roden, Andy & Marla Preston, Andria Benner, Terry Block, Pat & Jim Arieta, Wes Crandall, Louise Johnson, Brant & Arlis Minetti, Mike & Maryanne McLucas, Don & Lisa Hillman. Everyone obviously enjoyed their meal since the ambient noise level dropped to near zero when the food arrived. I might add that our waitress, Makayla, was an A+, doing an outstanding job keeping all the old Birds fed and happy. President Tim Roden brought the meeting to Order...well sort of...what a vociferous group. Tim thanked Harry and his daughters for hosting the meeting...and providing delicious cake to the group. Don Hillman (55 Raven Black) and his wife Lisa, our newest members, were introduced to the group. Don attended last month with the his very local 55, but this was Lisa's first meeting. Tim extended a welcome to both as well as the group. So Welcome Aboard. The CTCI Region 3 Report from Feb, 2014 was referenced and if anyone would like to see a copy they can contact Tim, Keith or myself for a copy. Please note that Keith is our Region 3 CTCI representative and he welcomes your questions, thoughts and your input. Arlis read the treasury report and we are financially sound. Andy and Marla will be hosting the next meeting at Schellville Grill located in, where else, but Schellville. More information will be forthcoming, see next meeting page (9). Tim was Happy to announce that Harry was able to sell his Thunderbird to a member of the Santa Clara club. The For Sale advertising process started on Fri, Feb 21. and by the next Fri, Feb, 28, his car had a new home. It was mentioned that Harry's Thunderbird has never lived more than 40 miles from San Francisco, the original point of sale, and still doesn't. Tim mentioned that name tags are needed for Don & Lisa Hillman. Also, Andria Benner has a need for a name tag too. Herb Burbank is still giving...tim found several Thunderbird Check Book covers in the Presidents Box and passed them out to those who desired. He still has approximately 5 for anyone to have. Tim asked Mike McLucas to relate his passed medical experience, which he did. Basically, Mike really didn't feel anything out of the ordinary, there were no obvious signature signs, but he just didn't feel right. So he went to the Doctor, and after several test, Mike had a stent installed to correct a 90% artery blockage. So he's fit as a fiddle now and feels great. A Mike Message... "don't take chances, check with your Doctor if things are just not quite right". Pat gave us an update on the Wheeler Dealer show featuring their Thunderbird. It has been delayed till sometime this summer. She will keep us informed. Pat shared Gils take on the British auto movie maker coming to his facility...since the British gear heads do not speak the same automotive language "this is going to be something, two Englishmen and Southern Boy talking car talk". See page 11 to explain. Pat also mentioned the CHP Officer that helped with traffic control during the Filming was recently killed in the line of Duty. Tim adjourned to Raffle. The Raffle brought in $34.00 for the club and the winners were: Herman, Barbara, Jim, Terry, Arlis, Marla. Lucky Louise...where have you gone? 6 Some Semi-Useful Information and the Local Pulse 4-Way Power Seat was initially a standard feature on 55 Thunderbirds, (see above bottom left corner). Deck mounted antennas were an option in '57 only. Porthole hardtops were not available in '55. A crest emblem was used on each side of the '55 hardtop and a round T-Bird emblem was used on the nonport '57 hardtops. No emblems were used on '56 tops or any porthole top. 10 New Home for Harry s Bird After Harry lost his beloved Anne he just can t drive anywhere without her. So he made the decision to sell his second love. On the last day of Feb, 2014, this little birdie made her way to the Santa Clara, CA club. All of us in Thunderbirds of Sonoma wish her well. She has never lived more than 40 miles from San Francisco, the original point of sale in 1956.
