2 Angela Grigsby Hello, everyone! Is the winter finally over yet? I m ready for a riding season that lasts more than two days and then we have snow again! Despite the weird weather, another Tennessee District Spring Fling is in the books! This year was so busy for many of you, and our chapter only had 4 members in attendance: Rick B, Bill, Rickey and myself. Though our numbers were few, we still managed to have enough laughs for at least 20 people! Because we knew that it was going to rain, and because of the deluge we experienced last year, we all decided to go on four wheels! It was a great decision, because Saturday and Sunday turned out to be rainy. Ray and Kathy talked to the vendors there and it looks like we will have a few of them join us for the Kentucky Blast! 3 Bill Mucha Chapter Educator Don t forget your T-CLOCS Here it is the end of April and Beginning of May and we are hoping the weather breaks for a great riding season. But have you Looked at your bike for the last few month or just hopped on and went riding. Don t forget to do your T-CLOCS as a routine not only in the beginning of riding season but through the year, even in the winter when your bike sits. I would add moving the bike a few times during the winter, so you prevent flat spots on your tires. Check for wet spots under the bike as it sits if you find any, look to see where it came from it will save you time in the spring and not take away from the riding Season. A little preventive maintenance is better than not riding when it is nice out. Chapter H will have a contest in which each member can earn points for participating in GWRRA events. The points earned each month will be acknowledged in the following month s chapter gathering, and the appropriate number of tickets will be issued to each individual. At the end of the gathering, all entries will be collected and held by the Chapter Director. EACH MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE TO MAKE SURE THEIR POINTS ARE COUNTED. The person with THE MOST points will be awarded a special prize at the 2018 Christmas Party. At that time, all other tickets will be shuffled and special door prizes awarded. I m hoping that this will be a fun way to encourage people to participate in the many fun and educational activities that the GWR- RA provides all of us.
