Project Update of GERT8270 Issue 3 ssessment of Route Compatibility of Vehicles and Infrastructure as a RIS (Lead Committee: Rolling Stock) IS SC made the following decisions: - OTE the work done in accordance with the agreed strategy resulting in production of RIS-8270-RST issue one draft 1b - ECIE that RIS-8270-RST issue one draft 1b delivers the intention of the project - ECIE that RSSB s Impact ssessment draft 1b has correctly set out the predicted impacts - IETIFIE specific organisations or individuals to be included in the consultation - SUGGESTE a full consultation - OTE the progress against each of the items on the appended list of actions - VISE they wish to be included at post-consultation stage, i.e. ecision on draft consultation responses and publication. The 12 month review of the Gauging Standards (Lead Committee: Infrastructure and Rolling Stock) IS SC made the following decisions: - COMMETE on the review - PPROVE the recommendation. Review of Guidance ote (G) GIG7608 issue two Guidance on the Infrastructure Technical Specification for Interoperability IS SC made the following decisions: - COMMETE on the review - PPROVE the recommendation. W Changes to Railway Group Standards: Final approval one. eviations against Railway Group Standards: ew applications 17/IS/11/210 17/IS/11/ EV Liverpool Lime Street Station; Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) anchor structures; Re-numbered platforms 1 to 5 and new platforms 7 & 8 (for approval) [GIRT7016 Interface between Station Platforms, Track and Trains] pplicant: etwork Rail The application sought a deviation against clause of the standard. Section refers to new structures, including buildings and columns supporting canopies which cannot be located within the overrun risk zone, extending 20 m behind the face of the buffer stop and 5 m either side of the projected centre line of the track approaching the buffer stop. This is referred to in clause and clause as the overrun risk zone. The scope of the deviation was to remodel and resignal Liverpool Lime Street Station, with the control area transferring to the Liverpool Workstation within the Manchester Rail Operating Centre (MROC). IS SC PPROVE EV EV Cheltenham Spa Station Gauge Clearance and coper realignment (for approval) [GIRT7016 Interface between Station Platforms, Track and Trains] pplicant: etwork Rail The application sought a deviation against clause of the standard. Section refers to new platforms or a platform subject to alteration (as defined), a recess with a minimum width of 300 mm and minimum height of 480 mm measured from rail level, which shall be formed underneath the platform edge. The recess shall be kept clear of cables and other obstructions. The scope of the deviation was part of the Great Western programme of works, responsible for providing route clearance for new trains (IET) and also trains which are moved from one part of the network and introduced to another. IS SC PPROVE WITH COMMET EV, subject to the applicants providing the correct letters of support from the associated TOCs. C Page 4 of 5
