Whereas 173 applications were received by the J&K State Sports Council in response to the Notification Nos:SC/491-CET/ dt: , SC/491-Poly/ dt: & SC/491-B.Ed/ dt: published in various Newspapers for allotment of points for proficiency in sports to the applicants appearing in various Professional Courses under sports category. 2. Whereas the applications were scrutinized by the committee constituted for the purpose on & at M.A. Stadium Jammu in terms of criteria laid down under Govt. No: 808-GAD of 2008 dt: , 946-GAD of 2008 dt: , 1090-GAD of 2008 dt: , 733- GAD of 2010 dated: & other terms and conditions annexed with the application format. 3. Whereas one hudred-twenty-five candidates as per Annexure A of this notification have been found eligible for grant of sports category weightage and points allotted for their proficiency in sports by the Committee. 1. Whereas thirty-nine candidates as per annexure- A appearing at serial No. 3,7,8,11,14,21,24,26,28,42,45,52,53,71,87,90,93,95,96,97,101,103, 105,110,111,118,120,127,128,139,142,147,153,156,157,159,161, 170 & 172 have also been found eligible for grant of sports category weightage subject to verification of their certificates/confirmation of screening of teams/recognition of game from competent authorities/production of original documents which should reach Council office within the period of one week from the date of publication of this notice. 2. Whereas eligibility of two candidates figuring at Sr. No. 40 & 168 of annexure- A has been kept pending by the Committee for want of status of the events (8 th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship & Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial National Karate Championship) from Karate Association of India. 6. Whereas seven candidates as figured in the annexure- A at serial No. 41, 66, 70, 78, 94, 115 & 116 have not been found eligible due to the reasons mentioned against each.
2 7. Objections/grievances if any with regard to the allotment points awarded to the eligible candidates or otherwise are therefore invited which should reach this office at Sports House M. A. Stadium, Jammu on or before upto 2 PM through fax/ /jksportscouncil@gmail.com in both hard & soft copies. Objections/grievances received after the prescribed date & time shall not be entertained.
