1 UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, LAHORE SPORTS DEPARTMENT Subject: Report 36 th UET Annual Sports No.Univ.Sports/ Dated: University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore 36 th Annual Sports celebrated in the UET, Lahore Campus from 09 th to 11 th April 2013, Chairman Sports Committee Prof. Dr. Nadeem Feroze inaugurated the opening ceremony. During 3 days of Annual Sports day, competitions were held for different athletics event such as (Track Events: m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 5000 m and 4x100 m Raley Race), (Gymkhana Events: - Sack, Slow Cycling, Wheel Barrow, 100 m Employees and three Legged Race), (Throw Events: - Discus, Hammer, Putting the Shot and Javelin Throw) and (Jump Events: - Hop Step and Jump and Long Jump). Moreover Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Chess and Tennis Championship matches were played between the teams of different Faculties Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, KSK Campus and Chemical teams were declared the winners respectively. Mr. Hamid Noor (B/A-Fal ) Institute of Business and Management Department declared the 1 st Best Athlete of the University and Mr. Muhammad Kashif Butt (10-MME-64) Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department remained the 2 nd Best Athlete. Chemical Engineering Department won the General Trophy for the Winner and Civil Engineering Department remained Runner up. On the concluding day, the Worthy Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. Muhammad Akram Khan distributed University Colours to the best Sportsmen in their respective discipline and prizes among the winners and runners up athletes.
