1 Pack Program Date: Theme: Mini Olympics Duty Six: Leaders Boomerang: Boomerang 8 Athletic Skills Boomerang 8 Strength and Stamina Time Leader Activity Gear 6.30 Opening Parade Flags Grand Howl. Welcome. Badges. Arrange Sixes Games Preparation In sixes, they are given a character to use as a template to paint each other s faces. Face paint Jungle book character face Paint template min rotations (approx.) Game rotation 1 1. Skipping Take turns to skip in the time limit. Ensure meet boomerang standard 2. Basketball shots See how many goals they can shoot in time limit and record 3. Long jump At least 2 jumps each, keeping best for results 4. Sprinting Markers 100m apart. Take turns to run as fast as possible and record 7.10 Break Sliced oranges and water. Eat together while leaders set up next rotation min rotations (approx.) Game rotation 2 1. Shot Put Stand in hoop and throw ball as far as possible. 2 attempts record best distance 2. Javelin Throw pool noodle as far as possible from marker line. 2 attempts record best distance. Include a best joint six throw, every cubs helps to throw the noodle. 3. Triple Jump At least 2 jumps each, keeping best distance for results. 4. Discus Through the marker as far as possible within the marked V. If out, throw is disqualified Boomerang Work and Water Break Explain how the law and teaching in the Jungle Book are a part of your life and your packs attitudes. Discus significance of pack and its structure and principles. What being in the pack means to them Grand relay Cubs run in the sixes. Each cub standing at a set marker along the track. Must pass the baton to each cub along the track. As running leaders spray the cubs with the water guns Closing Closing Prayer. Hand out prayer book. Badge presentations Record Sheets Skipping ropes Basketballs Rake and tape measure Markers and timer Cub water bottles. Extra water container and plastic cups for those who did not bring and refills.
