In 2016, Georgia State finished in first place following 54 holes of stroke play, but fell to Troy 3&2 in the match play championship, just missing out on a conference championship. Over that span five Panthers have earned low medallist honors at the conference championship, most recently Max Herrmann this past year who won in a three-hole playoff that included JJ Grey.
