2 SEC WOMEN S BASKETBALL SCHEDULING PARAMETERS GENERAL PARAMETERS 1) 16 game schedule single round and home and away with one permanent opponent and two random opponents; 8 home games and 8 away games. 2) Start date Sunday, December 31 st ; End date Sunday, February 26 th (17 play dates) 3) Play dates are Thursdays and Sundays with one game per week shifting from Sunday to Monday night for SEC Network. An institution will shift at least one Sunday game to Monday night for the Network. Every effort will be made to schedule a bye or home game the following play day for teams participating in Monday night conference games. 4) A maximum of two (2) consecutive road games. 5) Two (2) of the first four games must be at home. 6) Two (2) of the last four games must be at home. 7) Minimum of four play dates between permanent opponents and where possible for rotating opponents. 8) One (1) of the last two (2) Sundays of the season must be at home for senior day activities. 9) Every effort will be made to avoid disadvantaging a team more than twice by playing a team who is coming off a bye date. 10) Utilize arena conflict calendar. 11) Television a. WEEKDAY MOVES Any date changes moving a weekend (Fri-Sun) competition to a weekday will adhere to the following guidelines: i. No road team will be asked to move from a weekend (Fri-Sun) competition to a weekday (Mon-Thurs) more than two times in a particular season. ii. No home team will be asked to move from a weekend (Fri-Sun) competition to a weekday (Mon-Thurs) more than two times in a particular season. iii. Weekday to weekday (i.e. Wednesday to Tuesday) and Saturday to Friday moves are exempt from this scheduling parameter. b. SUNDAY MOVES Any date changes moving a Fri/Sat competition to Sunday will adhere to the following guidelines: i. No road team will be asked to move from a Fri/Sat competition to a Sunday competition for television more than three times in a particular season. ii. No home team will be asked to move from a Fri/Sat competition to a Sunday competition for television more than three times in a particular season. ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS 1) Every effort will be made to schedule no more than two weekday away games in a row. 2) Every effort will be made to schedule at least one (1) Sunday home game every month of the season. Use men s schedule to avoid doubleheaders even if institutions play in two different facilities. 3) No byes, if possible, first two and last two play dates of season. 4) Evaluate the schedule over a three-year period for any anomalies that affect a team an inordinate number of times (e.g., first game and/or last home game on the road; low number of Sunday home games; etc.). 5) Distribute byes evenly throughout the season to maximize television selections. 6) More byes on Thursdays to minimize missed class time. No more than three away Thursday games for as many teams as possible. 7) No more than two teams with a bye on Sunday. 8) If possible, meet specific institutional requests.

3 9) If an institution has an arena conflict on a play date, then the Conference office cannot guarantee parameters will be met for that institution.
