2 General Information This shoot is registered with and will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the NSSA and NYSSSA. Classification will be based on NSSA rules. It is the shooter s responsibility to present a classification card that contains a complete and accurate record of scores. All nonclassified shooters will be classified in accordance with NSSA rules. JR and SJR shooters may shoot targets only, subject to NSSA rules II-B-2 and II-B-3. The club will provide shoot off targets at its own expense; shoot off ammunition will be at the shooter s expense. Winnings will be mailed within five days following the shoot, a shoot report will be posted on the Association s website and on any other available websites. The club and facilities will open Friday morning. Practice fields will close when shoot offs begin. Camping is by reservation. (contact ) All campers will be required to pay a camping fee depending on services required. The registration area will be open on Friday 12pm to 3:30pm. Shooters may register during the shoot from 8am until the start of the last flight of the event to be registered. Shooters who request more than two changes to their entry or squadding after registration may be charged an administrative fee of $5.00. The Shoot Committee reserves the right to alter the program as necessary. NSSA-Licensed referees will be used. It is the shooter s responsibility to check the score board daily for important notices, program changes, shoot off and other information. Contestants and spectators assume all risk of theft or accident. Shooters required to report to field 15 minutes before flight time. Shoot offs will begin ASAP after the completion of the last flight of the day. Shooters will have 5 minutes from time called to report to field. Shooting glasses and ear protection are mandatory under NSSA rules and are required. The Shoot and Protest Committees are: Shoot NYSSSA President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Shoot Manager. Protest NYSSSA Zone 1-5 Executive Committee persons. See Section II E for proper protest procedure. 2

15 Shoot Off Information All shoot offs will be one round of doubles, miss and out by station, stations 3, 4 and 5 for a total of 24 targets. Shooters will have 5 minutes from time called to report to field. All shoot offs will be concluded the same day or night as the event. All ties will be shot off, including those for class medals and/or monies. It is the shooter s responsibility to check the score board to determine status of class ties. Individual concurrent events will be shot off simultaneously with event and class championships whenever possible. The gun and ammo malfunction rules as per NSSA rules. NSSA doubles rules apply. Team shoot offs will consist of doubles, as described above, total team score by station. ORDER OF SHOOT OFFS Daily shoot offs will be conducted in the order in which the events were shot. 39 The Hietman - Mitchell Fund The Hietman Mitchell Fund was set up in 1991 as a memorial to Doug Hietman and was founded by Steve Newman, Scotty Mitchell, and Bob Seelbinder. The fund, originally named The Douglas Hietman Foundation, has been renamed to also honor Scotty Mitchell who passed in Scotty's daughter Cory and her husband David are continuing the fund's mission to help junior shooters. The mission of the fund is to help qualified New York State junior and sub junior shooters by paying their entry fees to the annual New York State Skeet Championship. The fund is funded by donations which are always appreciated to keep this worthy cause going.
