2 GAME TIME IS AS FOR NORMAL FIXTURES Grand Final Rules U11 - U12 U13 - U16 U18 20 minutes each half with a five-minute break 30 minutes each half with a minimum five and maximum ten-minute break 35 minutes each half with a minimum five and maximum ten-minute break With Time-off for injury in all grades EXTRA TIME Extra Time Final Matches If at the end of the prescribed periods of normal play the score is level, the following maximum extra time shall be played, until the first team scores with no break between periods and no time off for injury: For age groups Under 11 & Under 12: Five (5) minutes each way Golden Try. (no Penalty Goals or Field Goals are allowed in Mod Football). For age groups Under 13 to Under 17: Five (5) minutes each way Golden Point. So, any score (Try, Penalty Goal or Field Goal) in extra time, ceases play immediately with the scoring team declared the winner. Extra Time procedure: The match will recommence with the Referee calling both captains together for a coin toss. The team winning the toss will be given the option of choosing which end of the field to defend, or alternatively elect to kickoff to commence play. If the team winning the toss elects to kick-off, the choice of ends reverts to the team losing the toss. If in a Grand Final, scores remain level at the completion of extra time both teams will be declared joint premiers. This applies to all grades.
