Team members have been dedicated to weekly workouts, farm visits and clinics for the past six months. Everyone did a First-Class job representing Ingham County! An overview of their accomplishments includes: Sr. Novice: Zachary Sommer placed in the top 15 overall in a large and very competitive division. He was the 5th place overall winner in Sr. Novice reasons! Jr. Novice: Kaitlynn Sommer was also in a very competitive division and earned a 2nd place overall in reasons and was the 1st place winner overall in the Jr. Novice division! 3 3 PQA Online Certification Youth exhibitors will have the opportunity to complete their PQA training requirements via an online training module. The module will include a testing procedure for youth in the intermediate and advance categories. Ingham County exhibitors wishing to complete the requirement online must complete by June 15th. Youth can take the course online and at the completion of the course, beginners will receive a one year certification. Intermediate and senior youth will be directed to an age appropriate online exam. The training module does not have to be completed in 1-setting; however the test must be completed once the youth has started it. click on the orange Certify Online Now button in the middle of the page that will link them to the registration page to get signed up for their PQA Plus online training.

This scholarship is based on student need, college grade point average, extra curricular and professional activities, application and a personal interview. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the following criteria must be met: The applicant must be a regular or associate member of the Ingham County Farm Bureau or the son/ daughter of a member. At least one full year of membership must be completed. The applicant must have reached junior status if enrolled in a four-year degree program or must have completed two semesters of an Agricultural Technology Program. The applicant must be pursuing an agricultural or agriculturally related course of study. Collins 4-H Youth Horticulture Grant 1 grant available for $350 This grant opportunity is for 4-H youth clubs only to advance club work in plant science and horticulture activities locally. This grant is made possible by the William J. and Ruth D. Collins Endowment Fund to advance 4-H youth horticulture and gardening programs. 4-H Educational Garden Grants 2 grants available for $1,000 each Supports the creation of local 4-H educational gardens in Michigan.
