Slow handicap, fast handicap and Laser classes can be run, numbers permitting, and separate starts will be offered, at the discretion of the OOD and numbers permitting. Handicap Races All Saturday and Sunday races are run on a boat handicap basis Scoring Low points scoring system will be used for scoring all series. Club championships The Club, Ladies and Junior Championships will be calculated from results from the following series: Early Bird (six races), Spring Handicap (eight races), Summer Handicap (six races), Lockerbie Gala Cup (six races), Holiday Regatta (six races), Autumn Handicap (eight races), Winter Cup (10 races). Plus the following club regattas: Castle Loch Shield, Beverage Jug, RNLI Regatta (nine races.) Discards will be calculated for each series/regatta (number of races sailed divided by two, rounded up, plus one (eg Eight races sailed five to count; three races sailed - three to count). Overall championship results will be calculated on the allocation of the following points for each series/regatta: Winner 1 point, second 2 points, etc, right through the fleet. Eg If 15 entrants take part in a series, the last placed boat will get 15 points. The overall winner will be the person with the lowest combined score. Class championships These will be calculated from all three Thursday night race series: Spring Series (seven races), Commodore s Cup (eight races), Pure Class (seven races). Discards will be calculated as above in each series. Overall class championship will be calculated as above.

5 Family Fundays Held on the first Sunday of the month in June, July and August. Fun, informal sailing, bring your friends. All welcome to a bring-your-own-food bbq after sailing (weather permitting). Supported practice Practise skills and have fun on the water. Safety boat cover provided. Bart s Bash (Sept 16) Take part in a worldwide sailing event to raise money for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation. Race officers All duty officers should read the Club Standard Sailing Instructions, race and safety procedures and safety policy. Safety officers Safety boats must be driven in accordance with the club Health and Safety Policy. Drivers must have RYA Powerboat Level 2 and an RYA safety boat qualification is recommended. Courses are available throughout the season.
