2 Racing Format 1. Boats will be divided into four colour coded Groups of approximately nine (12) boats each for the Qualification Series. The list of groups will be available at Registration at 10.00am on Saturday 3 rd February Boats will be required to affix a colour dot to each side of the bow indicating their group. Race 1 Black group Race 7 Yellow group Race 2 Pink group Race 8 Orange group Race 3 Yellow group Race 9 Black group Race 4 Orange group Race 10 Pink group Race 5 Black group Race 11 Yellow group Race 6 Pink group Race 12 Orange group 2. After completing three (3) races in the Qualification Series, the five (5) boats with the lowest overall point score in each Group will qualify for the Semi Finals. 3. Twenty (20) boats will be divided into two Semi Finals of ten (10) boats each as per the enclosed draw. Each Semi Final will sail three (3) races as follows: Race 13 Semi Final 1 Race 16 Semi Final 2 Race 14 Semi Final 2 Race 17 Semi Final 1 Race 15 Semi Final 1 Race 18 Semi Final 2 4. After completing three (3) races, the first five (5) boats with the lowest overall point score in each Semi Final will qualify for the Finals. 5. Ten (10) boats will race in the Finals. The final will consist of three (3) races Race 19, 20 & Courses and starting procedure are as detailed in Appendix A. 7. The Low Point Score scoring system will be used. 8. Any boat that fails to finish the course within 10 minutes of the first boat will be scored DNF (TIME). A boat scored DNF (TIME) will be scored the position equal to the last boat that is scored as finishing the race plus one 9. i) Ties in the Qualification & Semi Final Series - If there is a tie between two or more boats, each boat s race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat with the best score (i.e. Most number of firsts, most number of seconds etc). Should the tie remain then a toss of the coin will be held to decide the winner. ii) Ties in the Finals Series - In the event of a tie for first place, it will be decided by a sail-off between the boats that are tied. The sail-off will comprise of one race over the same course as used for the previous heats of the Final. 10. There will be no protests or requests for redress. This changes rule 60.1.

General Recall 2 sound signals immediately after start signal First Substitute flag displayed New starting sequence to commence 1 minute after the First Substitute flag is lowered.

4 Sprint Course & Marks START (in the vicinity of Mark 2) FINISH (in front of the B16ftSC clubhouse) Course identification flags will be displayed on the Start Boat: - A red flag will indicate marks are to rounded to Port - A green flag will indicate marks are to be rounded to Starboard Group identification colour flags will be displayed on the Start Boat Marks of the Course - Marks 1 & 2 will be large yellow cylindrical inflatable buoys - Start Mark will be an orange buoy - Finish Mark will be a black & white chequered inflatable buoy - Finish Boat will fly a black & white chequered Finish Flag
