5 Online Card Request Website The Georgia Tech Trainer Website is a Success! Currently over 1025 trainers are using the Georgia Tech trainer website. Simple to use and one site to submit a course report and pay for the cards. Cards processed quickly and mailed within 4 business days. 5

Submit Advanced Notification Online Create all Advanced Notifications Online Create Course Report from Advanced Notice Summary page when your class is finished New item on Records Audit to verify advanced notice has been submitted COMING: Check box on course report for trainers to confirm submission of notice for class. 6

10 Outreach Training Requirements Conducting Classes Primary authorized trainers must teach at least 50% of the class (unless class is taught with other authorized trainers) and maintain a list of guest trainers used, topics they delivered, and their qualifications. Classes are limited to a maximum of 40 students and a minimum of 3 students. 10

11 Outreach Training Requirements Monitoring Activities Trainers must permit unscheduled monitoring visits. Trainers must provide advance notice of training to authorizing institution (Georgia Tech) upon request. Georgia Tech asks for notice of every training scheduled to be conducted. 11

12 Outreach Training Requirements Topics Introduction to OSHA two-hour module is required All 10-hour Construction classes must include exactly four hours on Focus Four Hazards All 30-hour classes must include two hours on Managing Safety and Health 12

13 Outreach Training Requirements Reporting and Recordkeeping The GT Trainer Website must be used to submit the course report. Trainers must maintain records for 5 years, including: Course Report Sign-in Sheets Photocopy of card Detailed Agenda Etc. 13

14 Outreach Training Requirements Reporting and Recordkeeping Cards must be provided to students within 90 days of class completion. To ensure this, trainers must submit their documentation within 30 days of class completion. Authorized Training Organization must deliver student cards within 30 days from date of request and payment. 14

15 Outreach Training Requirements Reporting and Recordkeeping Trainer Responsibilities: Trainers must provide cards to students within 30 days of receipt. Trainers must issue student cards directly to the student (may mail cards directly to students). Trainers must keep a copy of every card issued for a minimum of five (5) years. 15

16 Outreach Training Requirements Requirement and Procedure Documents All documents can be found on OSHA s website or on the Help page of the GT Trainer website. 16

17 Training & Record Audit UPDATE Test time and administration time does NOT count toward instruction/contact time for 10 and 30 hour training. Outreach Training Program Report form must be included in course records. List of student names must include an address for each student (Business or Home) 17

Teach other construction industry hazards or policies and/or expand on the mandatory or elective topics. The minimum length of any topic is 22one- half hour. 22
