Ashland web site and shows the first covering of snow. If you are required to drive your Sno-Cat through these early conditions be aware of the hard obstacles underneath and that this light unsettled snow offers very little in way of a cushion. Also consult your check list before heading out and do not forget to check the trailer or other transport vehicle, especially if these have been in the back lot all summer. If looking at this picture reminds you that your Sno-Cat has in deed been in the back lot all summer, then make sure it does get serviced. 2 This month Sterling Says. When you are replacing hoses be sure they are routed correctly (see the application tips from the Parker Hose Catalog ). Ensure the replacement hose meets the same specifications as the original. The original hose was chosen because it meets the desired specific needs for fluid compatibility, temperature range, bend radius, and durability, call us if you have any questions. The addition of hose covers and sleeves can be very useful for protection and bundling, even after installation. Sterling also Says. Before the first run of the season check the track tension, use the water drain on the fuel filter (if equipped), and remember grease is cheap. Page 2 of 6

3 Below is a picture of a Model 443 Sno-Cat operating at the Cranmore Ski Area in New Hampshire. The picture was taken in the mid-1950s and was supplied by Mr. Dick Smith. Cranmore was the first resort to implement grooming, notice the grooming devices in the foreground. They also built the pictured cart system to move the skiers back up the slope and called it Skimobile. The resort opened during the winter of and just celebrated their 75th anniversary. Page 3 of 6

6 Rick has been with Tucker Sno-Cat since October 1999, he was hired as a welder-fabricator in the frame shop. Since then Rick has worked in every department except detail, currently he is welding blades, cat walks, and doors. Rick s welding skills cover mild / alloy / stainless steel, and aluminum. In his 14 years he has seen a big increase in work safety awareness and improved finished (welded) parts, both strength and appearance due to engineering and precision cutting methods. Rick is another Southern Oregon native. Away from work Rick is currently busy remodeling a house but finds time to ride his Harley and enjoy the great outdoors. Page 6 of 6
