2 The Finnish sock factory behind the Uphillsport trademark since 1996 Knowledge and knowhow Innovative Sock factory in Finland Sukkamestarit Oy started socks production at 1996 at Tampere city. After five years factory grew fast and established a new factory site and moved to Ylöjärvi at Today we are the largest sock factory in Finland with capacity of 4,0 million pairs yearly. We are working with 40 professionals with long-term experience in socks knitting. Main market has been Finland and we are a major supplier for the Finnish market. Our socks are sold in all kind of stores; sport-, clothes- and mass retailers. As references from our current and past customers KESKO Oyj, SOK, Intersport Finland, SGN Sportia, Finnish Defence Forces, Halti, Seger, Icepeak, Adidas Finland and many more large and small customers. Our company was established by 5 professionals with a combined 100 years of experience in the sock industry. Company made a generation change in 2007 and the current entrepreneurs have been in charge of the company ever since. This is today s team of entrepreneurs: Mr. Jussi Koskinen (Jussi ) - Managing director, with the company since Sales and marketing, with a background in B to B sales Mr. Jani Tarkki (Jani) - Factory director, with the company since Production and ICT, with a background in the Finnish army Mr. Kimmo Koskinen (Kimmo) - Production manager, with the company since Production and quality, with a background in the process industry Mr. Jani Alatalo (Jani ) - Product development manager, with the company since Product development and tehcnical education, with a background in the technical industry Together with our wonderful staff, we make a strong and innoative team. Core values Our way of working has always been close partnership with our customers. Quality, efficiency and new product development are in our focus every day. Today we are famous in Finland of our fast service, short lead times and high quality. All yarns are OEKOTex 100 certified. Yarn lots are traceable to our supplier and suppliers are controlled with our sustainability program. Technology Sukkamestarit Oy has made innovations in knitting technology, for example Patent for three and four layer sock structure. Finnish military has chosen one of our three layer wool socks for the main sock in their collection. Our ICT is connected to our customers systems with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) connections. We can receive Orders, send Invoices, and provide Desavd, Pricat services to our customers. Production has the latest technology with RFID tracking for quality control and traceability. Factory is environmentally safe and all operations are certified with ISO 9001:2015 certificate. 2 1

3 Quality and icons INNOVATION & QUALITY FROM FINLAND SINCE 1996 UNIQUE MULTI-LAYER STRUCTURE 1. MOISTURE CONTROL Firstly, the inner layer is responsible for transferring moisture away from the skin. This layer is a critical component for all socks used in conditions where the skin sweats. Polypropylene 2. WARMING & COOLING The second layer controls moisture and temperature. Different materials have unique properties which can be used to warm, cool, transfer moisture and add comfort. Merino Wool, Coolmax, Bamboo-Viscose, Combed Cotton 3. DURABILITY & FLEXIBILITY The third inner layer works as protection against rubbing. This layer is also used to give colour and will keep the colours vivid after numerous washes. Polyamide 4. EXTRA WARMING & PROTECTION The fourth layer can be extra wool for warmth against the cold coming up from the ground. Merino Wool terry is knitted on the outside and inside to replace polyamide layer. In UPHill Performance category products, this layer can add extra protection. e.g. In our 3-Layer Ice Hockey Performance Socks where the 4th outer layer is Kevlar, this serves to protect the skin from skate blade cuts. Kevlar, Polyamide, Acrylic Multilayer structure brings the best out of the materials. Yarns are knitted into layers to maximize breathing and durability. For cold conditions we have selected materials that work together and keep the freeze outside. Structures and materials are breathable to keep your feet dry. Ventilation structure. Socks need to be at one with your feet. By adding elastic yarns in the right places you can feel your feet with the right fit and grip. Quick-Dry treatment gives moisture protection to Polyamide or Polyester yarns. Sock is knitted with seamless toe area. True linking makes the toe area comfortable. For better fitting on the heel area, we use Y shaped knitting. Important with shaftless socks. For more sustainability you can choose GOTS certified Bio / Organic cotton. Kevlar protection to prevent blade cuts. Kevlar area is placed where there are no other protection gears. ISO 9001:2015 Our certificate includes production, material sourcing, sales, customer service and marketing. All products are individually quality checked and controlled. OEKOTEX 100 We use only yarns with a valid OEKOTEX 100 standard. All yarns are safe to use even for the sensitive skins. Merino wool All merino wool is mulesing free. We use blends with 80% merino / 20% polyamide and 50% merino / 50% acrylic. Washing and cleaning All socks are suitable for 40 degrees machine wash, tumble drying is not recommended. Sock may appear small after washing. Form the socks after washing for better fitting. Many socks have elastic yarns and because of it they seem to smaller than they really are. Made in Finland All our products are produced in our own factory in Finland since We are certified to Finnish work federation and have the permit to use a Finnish key flag on our products. 2 3
