1 Mizzou Swim Club Fast Water Championships Hosted by the University of Missouri Swim Club March 3 rd 2018 Location: Pool: Deck Area: Mizzou Aquatic Center 213 Rothwell Gymnasium Columbia, MO Mizzou Aquatic Center Indoor 50-meter 8.5ft deep, 8-lane competition pool divided by bulk heads into two 25 yard courses. Colorado electronic timing system, touch-pads and display. Three Full-read electronic video boards All swimmers are permitted on the deck; however, spectators must remain on the bleachers and away from the blocks. Deck is wheelchair accessible. *Deck changing is prohibited. Swimmers must use locker rooms located adjacent to the deck for changing. Admissions: Eligibility: There is no admission fee for spectators. Athletes are eligible to compete if they are members of the club they are registered with. All swimmers in good standing within their respective teams and schools are eligible to compete. Each team will define the rules of membership and ensure that each participating athlete is a member in good standing with their respective team. Swimming schedule: Prelim Warm-up Start Finals Warm-up Start 8:30am 9:30am 1.5 hours after the 2.5 hours after the conclusion of prelims conclusion of prelims Parking: Free parking is available in the Virginia Avenue Parking Structure, located east of Mizzou Rec Complex between Hitt Street and Virginia Avenue. Also, neither meter parking spaces nor faculty/staff parking are enforced on weekends Swimming Entries: Hy-Tek entry files to Josh Zimmerman jzmr2@mail.missouri.eduand Megan Black mnbq54@mail.missouri.edu. Swimmers may be entered in a total of 4 individual events and all relays. No time entries will not be accepted, please provide best estimate. Software for submitting a Hy-Tek file is available at

2 Entries not submitted in Hy-Tek format must be submitted in Excel format. Entries submitted in Excel will incur an additional fee of $7.50 per swimmer. Entry Deadline: Hold Harmless: Entry Fees: Monday, February 19 th at 11:59pm (CST). Seed times may be updated until Monday, February 26 th at 11:59pm (CST). A copy of the hold harmless form will accompany this document. Please submit the hold harmless form prior to competition, either by , or prior to warm-ups. Entry fees will be $15 per athlete up to 25 swimmers. All additional swimmers will have a fee of $10 per athlete. There is no fee cap or charge for relays. Please make a single check for your club s entries payable to: MU Swim Club Please bring your check on the day of the meet, and turn it in at the team representative meeting. Conduct of Meet: Rules will be in accordance with College Club Swimming. Complete College Club Swimming stroke rules can be found at andbook.pdf and will be available at the meet. 50 yard and 100 yard events, along with the 200 free and 200 IM will be run as prelims/finals, with the top 2 heats returning for finals. The 17 th and 18 th place finishers will be alternates. Relays and all other events will be run as timed finals, with the events being split between the prelim and finals sessions. Warm-ups: Food: Meeting: Scoring: and on all relays Awards: Lodging: Continual warm-up/warm-down course will be available throughout the meet. Athletes and coaches are permitted to bring refreshments and coolers, but NO GLASS or ALCOHOL is allowed within the facility. A team representatives meeting will be held 15 minutes before the start of the prelim session. Championships scoring will be used. Swimmers may score in 3 individual events Championship A Finals: Relays: Consolation B Finals: Trophies for the top 3 placing teams will be awarded following the conclusion of the finals session. In addition, individual awards for the top 3 finishers in each event will be given to their respective teams following the conclusion of the meet. Below is a list of hotels in Columbia. The True/False Film Festival will also be hosted in Columbia March 1-4, so I would advise booking as soon as possible to avoid increased rates.

Unacceptable behavior including tampering, vandalism, or destruction of Mizzou Aquatic Center, MizzouRec, or University of Missouri property, physical or verbal abuse, or refusal to follow instructions given by MizzouRec staff will result in disciplinary action, reimbursement for damages, and/or potential suspension from the facilities and programs. Anyone asked to leave by the staff will not be refunded any paid charges.
