1 INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: The art for you Architecture The Association Fuselliamo announces the 6th International Bobbin Lace Competition for 2019 to promote and appreciate the technique of bobbin lace making. The competition is divided into three categories: beginners, intermediate and advanced, plus a special category for children (under 15 years of age at 30 June 2019). In the special category for children, one of the three patterns suggested for the other categories may be used. The participant will make his/her own entry using only the bobbin lace making technique on the pattern provided by the Association Fuselliamo. Each category will have a single pattern, the same for everyone, created for the occasion by the Association Fuselliamo. This pattern will be published in issue no. 44 of the magazine and on the website together with the rules of the competition. The pattern provided is full size. There are no entry fees. The competition notice will also be available on the website in other languages. Rules: 1. The competition is open to professionals, amateurs and bobbin lace lovers of any nationality, sex, age, colour or religion. 2. The competition is also open to schools, associations, museums and other lace organisations. 3. Only participation, individual or as a group, in one single category is allowed. 4. Each group must appoint a group representative. 5. There must only be one entry per participant. 6. The pattern provided by the Association is owned exclusively by the Association itself and the use or disclosure of the pattern in any manner, for reasons other than the participation in this competition, is prohibited. 6th International Competition 2019 Page 1 of 6

2 7. Anyone who uses or discloses this pattern for any other reason will be prosecuted in conformity with the law. 8. The entry must not be mounted on any frame or support. 9. The Association Fuselliamo must receive written notification of the participant s entry into the competition by , letter or postcard by 28 February By taking part in the competition, the competitor unconditionally accepts that the Association Fuselliamo is not responsible for any damage or theft of the entry submitted. 11. Entries will be exhibited during the traditional autumn show on the 2 nd week end in September The Association s main office must receive the entries by 30 June All entries received after this date will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender. Deliver charges will be cash on delivery. 13. All delivery charges are to be paid entirely by the sender. 14. The participant must send the entry, in a sealed envelope marked entry for a competition, of no commercial value, by: recorded delivery with a return receipt, to the main office of the Association Fuselliamo via Colombo, Gradisca d Isonzo Gorizia - Italy by hand directly to one of the founder members of the Association Fuselliamo. 15. The envelope must in turn contain two envelopes: -the first sealed, with the title of the entry and the category participated in written at the top, containing the entry; -the second sealed, with the title of the entry and the category participated in written at the top, containing the attachment a as a statement from the participant expressing that he/she has read these rules and accepts the conditions thereof. By ordinary post (for Italy only): put 2 euro of stamps Registered mail: Cash on delivery Other: to be agreed upon the Association Fuselliamo. 16. The panel, composed of the founding members of the Association Fuselliamo, choose a winner from every category at its sole discretion. 17. Prizes and awards will be given to the top three contestants of each category. 18. All participants will be issued a certificate of participation. 19. Participation in the competition implies that the participant accepts these rules and therefore, by sending materials, it is understood that the participant gives his/her unconditional consent to his/her entry being publically exhibited and possibly published in the magazine Fuselliamo il tombolo secondo noi; the same applies to the use of personal data: By entering the competition, the participant permits the Association Fuselliamo to use and share his/her personal data, including in the magazine Fuselliamo, il tombolo secondo noi, pursuant to Leg. Dec. 196/03. The person responsible for the use of data is Vicentini Antinisca. 20. The Association reserves the right to make changes to these rules, if deemed necessary, and to communicate these changes exclusively through its website. 21.
