The parade will take place on Friday July 4, 2014 starting at 9:00 a.m. Each year this event attracts thousands of spectators along the 2.6 mile parade route through El Paso s Westside district and is the largest single community event in the area. Families from all over enjoy this holiday tradition to view entrants including local high school marching bands, floats, vintage cars and dignitaries. For the fifth year the Rotary Club of West El Paso will issue cash awards for the best entries. As we celebrate our Rotary theme of Light Up Rotary we will demonstrate that spirit is alive in our Westside community. We encourage all parade participants to show their patriotism by participating in our Parade Theme of Independence Day Show Your Colors America. 6 PARADE FACTS Parade Theme: Independence Day Show Your Colors America Date: Friday July 4 th, 2014 Judging of Floats: 8:15am 9:00am Parade Starts: 9:00am Donation: $45.00 ($10.00 for Non Profits) Parade Route: The parade begins at the Western Hills Methodist Church at 530 Thunderbird. It turns left onto Thunderbird, then left at Shadow Mountain. It continues on Shadow Mountain and turns right onto Mesa. It then proceeds on Mesa to Coronado High School and turns right on Champions Drive where it ends.
