2 Castro Pub Crawl 7:00 pm should give everybody plenty of time to make their way to the ballpark San Francisco is famous for it s gay pride movement and history, and The Castro neighborhood is the vibrant heart of the City s gay community. The starting point for this crawl is not walkable from the Hotel. Consider taking MUNI get to the starting point and back to the Hotel. MUNI is San Francisco s public transportation system, consisting of subways ( MUNI Rail ), trolleys, cable cars, and buses. The MUNI Rail stop closest to the hotel is Powell & Market, and is only about 3 blocks away from the hotel. To get to the starting point of this crawl, take MUNI Rail outbound 4 stops and get off at Castro. You ll see the bar as soon as you exit the station. Riders need to buy a Clipper Card pass / ticket to ride MUNI, and these are available for purchase at any station. Uber / Lyft is also available. 1. 4 Chinatown / North Beach Pub Crawl Chinatown / North Beach is the host to the oldest Chinese settlement in the Western Hemisphere, pressed up right next to San Francisco s famous Italian neighborhood. The starting point for this pub crawl is about a mile / 20 minute walk from the Hotel. This would be a good opportunity to ride a Cable Car. There is a Cable Car turn around / stop at the corner of Powell and Market, about 2 blocks from the hotel. You can buy tickets there. Ride the car up the hill about 11 blocks and hop off at Washington Street. Then it s just two blocks down Washington to the first bar. 5 SOMA (South of Market) Pub Crawl SOMA is home to many of the city's museums, to the headquarters of several major software and Internet companies, as well as some of the swankiest bars and lounges. The starting point for this pub crawl is a 3 block walk from the Hotel. 1. Press Club (Starting Point) 20 Yerba Buena Ln 2. The View Lounge 780 Mission St San Francisco Marriott Marquis 3. 6 Tenderloin / Hotel Pub Crawl The Tenderloin is one of San Francisco s oldest and most diverse neighborhoods. It is one of the last neighborhoods to resist the City s ever-present gentrification, yet has become the home to Twitter and other tech upstarts. The starting point for this pub crawl is less than a block walk from the Hotel. Uber / Lyft / taxi is the best way to get to AT&T Park from the last bar. 1. 7 The Mission Pub Crawl The starting point for this pub crawl is not walkable from the Hotel. The mission has gone through quite a bit of change in the past 10 years. It's home for young tech crowd as well as some of the newest bars and restaurants in the City. The starting point for this crawl is not walkable from the Hotel. Consider taking MUNI get to the starting bar. MUNI is San Francisco s public transportation system, consisting of subways, trolleys / street cars, cable cars, and buses. The MUNI Street Car stop closest to the hotel is Powell & Market, and is only about 3 blocks away from the hotel.
