3 More Than a Field of Dreams... West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex is unique among youth sport complexes in the United States. 17 Fields. 1 Goal. The Best Travel Ball Experience is not just a slogan to us. It is our motivation for each tournament we schedule. Honored by the Tennessee Turfgrass Association, we have 17 lighted and immaculately groomed baseball fields sitting on 70 acres, just off Interstate 40, the nation s most traveled interstate. It s the perfect location for teams from any region. New for 2018, we converted two fields to accommodate 60 x 90 baseball competition for older-age team tournaments (with grass infields). The 2018 Sportsplex season has a full slate of baseball tournaments. Most are USSSA-sanctioned tournaments. We are also introducing the first Tennessee state Grand Slam Tournament and the Greater Midwest Baseball s Southeast Nationals tournament. Sportsplex Retail Neighbors The home of the Jackson Generals, the Double-A professional minor league baseball team for the Arizona Diamondbacks, is next door to the Sportsplex. The Sportsplex works closely with the Generals to offer terrific game packages for visiting teams and their families, including free tickets for players and coaches. Jackson s fastest area of retail growth surrounds the Sportsplex. Many eating sites are within walking distance or a quick drive. You don t even have to leave our campus to eat, though. We have five, full-service concessions stands with the best ballpark food and prices you ll find. Several hotels, including two Marriott properties, a Holiday Inn Express, a Hampton Inn, a Fairfield Inn and a new Hilton Garden Inn, are within a 5-to-7- minute drive. The trampoline-filled Sky Zone is directly adjacent to the Sportsplex. The Sportsplex offers w Four complexes with 17 lighted baseball fields. w Seven 300-foot fields, five 250-foot fields and five 200-foot fields. w Clay infield mix/conditioner on all infields. w Tifway 419 Bermuda grass on baseball infields and all outfields. w Electronic scoreboards and covered dugouts on all fields. w Main concessions area with two pavilions with picnic tables. w Additional concessions areas in each complex. w Free Wi-Fi in the park. Game results are posted on the internet within minutes of a game s conclusion. w On-site gift shops with all kinds of apparel (Simply Southern) and other items. w Plenty of paved parking with a tunnel connecting all complexes. This allows teams to get closest to the pod where they play. We encourage your team to spend several weekends playing ball in Jackson, Tennessee. We know you can t find better fields. 5 Baseball highlights: w Our Best Customers Discount: Every team that plays in five events here (including Fall 2017 tournaments) receives a $40 discount on entries to all additional 2018 spring/summer events at the Sportsplex, except for state tournament and special championship events. w Our Earliest Entries Discount: The first four teams that enter any age bracket of any tournament get a $20 discount on the entry fee (except for state tournament and postseason events). w Specialized Tournaments: We offer Global and Grand Slam World Series qualifiers, as well as those geared to AA and AAA teams (National and American in Grand Slam), making our best efforts to even the competition. In all of our events, we keep classifications separated if the number of entries allows us to do it mathematically while making the best use of our fields. Teams that enter both the April and May Grand Slam qualifiers receive $100 off the cost of the Grand Slam Tennessee State Tournament in June. Across Street from Sportsplex!
