3 IF YOUR CHILD IS SELECTED FOR A DEARBORN JAGUARS TEAM Player Registration As soon as possible, please visit our website at Under the TEAMS drop down menu, select Player Registration. It will provide the guidelines to complete/accept your player s selection to the team Team Kick-Off Meetings: Wed, June 21 and Thurs, June 22 at Total Soccer Wixom The Jaguars hold team kick-off meetings with the coach for season information, document collection and uniform sizing. The exact time of each meeting will be posted on our website on the Kick-Off Schedules" page under the TRYOUTS menu. Player Pictures (U14 and Older Players Only) We will again be taking pictures of players 2004 (U14) and older at the kick-off meetings for passcards and college recruiting purposes. This is ONLY for players that did not have their picture taken last year or would like their picture redone. Sample jerseys will be available for players to utilize for their pictures. Jaguars Uniforms Team uniform requirements and ordering procedures will be available at the kick-off meeting. The players should attend the kick-off meeting since sample uniforms for sizing are available. All Dearborn Jaguars players are required to order the new jerseys, shorts, and practice T s. The warm up top, pants, socks, and backpack are the same as in , therefore those items are only required for new Jaguars players. Goalkeeper Jerseys and Goalkeeper Practice T s U13 (2005) and older goalkeepers are provided the club goalkeeper jersey. For the season, the jersey is the same as the jersey. All U13 goalkeepers and older new goalkeepers will receive a credit towards their second club dues payment for the jersey. Details will be provided. U13 (2005) and older goalkeepers are required to purchase the selected Goalkeeper long sleeve practice T instead of the short sleeve field player practice T. U12 (2006) and younger players should purchase the short sleeve field player practice T. They have the option to purchase the goalkeeper long sleeve T in addition to the required T. U12 (2006) and younger players will have the option of purchasing the goalkeeper jersey. Note At tryouts players are selected for specific teams, but ultimately are chosen to be part of the Michigan Jaguars organization. In the best interest of player development, the coaching staff may adjust player placements if necessary. Estimated Costs Above Include Club Dues Club dues include training space, coaching fees, outdoor league fees, and club administrative costs. Club Dues is a set amount which is payable online with set due dates. Team Fees These fees include indoor league fees, tournament expenses, and referee fees. They are payable directly to the team via the team treasurer. This is a variable expense which is unique to each team and funds are collected as needed by the team treasurer. Estimated Costs Above Do Not Include Uniform Expenses - The jersey s, shorts and practice T s are new for The warm up jacket, pants, socks and backpack will remain the same as last year. The Goalkeeper Jersey is same as the season and will be provided to U13 goalkeepers and older new goalkeepers. U12 and younger players have the option of purchasing the goalkeeper jersey. Total Soccer Family Fee Players are responsible for this fee based on usage (Individual: $15; Family: $30) Travel Expenses (Not Included in Estimated Costs Above) Travel expenses include family travel and hotel expenses. Some teams have high travel fees. Please refer to the tournament list within this document to estimate the costs for each team. Optional Expenses Which May Be Incurred Extra Player Training Training classes offered by the Jaguars, such as skill development and finishing, are considered optional. Other Team Expenses These expenses are unique to each team (i.e. tents, benches, gifts). Financial Assistance The Dearborn Jaguars offer financial assistance to those families whose players would otherwise be unable to play. Please visit the Michigan Jaguars website and select Financial Assistance under the CLUB INFO menu for the application form. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
