Since the fixture was done in the absence of most municipalities, some arrived late and some didn t turn up for their fixture. This means there were situations on Sunday and Monday where grounds were available but there were no teams, Tšalong explained. He indicated that though there were protests regarding accreditation during the first day which were simply administrative in nature SAIMSA resolved to allow teams to participate and officials had to improvise by taking photos of players before the matches to avoid cheating. The failure to produce identification by some teams overlapped on the pitch as on Monday evening after their match with City of Windhoek Coach Mr Boiya Boois lamented MCC players who failed to produce their ids before the match. Though the tournament commenced on Sunday, Tšalong disclosed that about 6 more municipality arrived since Monday and it was only on Tuesday that they knew about one cancelation. Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) through its organs such as the Referee s Committee have extended their full support to SAIMSA to provide professional officials and advice. He divulged that for the future games it would be wise to include officials from other Southern African countries to minimise complaints.

The two teams meet tomorrow at the Makoanyane Barracks. One of the MCC players, Thabo Lerotholi, said their upcoming match against KSD will be an explosive match which will decide which team will go to the next stage of the competition. 7 SAIMSA Moments 23 rd September 2015 Limpopo giants in a stalemate Makhado Municipality F.C coach Daniel Mavhunga was a happy man after his side held their arch rivals Polokwane Municipality to a goalless draw in a SAIMSA game played at Pitso Ground yesterday. Speaking to SAIMSA moments after the game, Mavhunga said the game went according to their plan and the results were fair. I am happy with how we played it was one of those tough matches and I must admit the draw was fair result to us, he said. Mavhunga said going into their next fixture they have to stay focused because like any other team we are here to compete not to add numbers. We have to stay focused going to our next match because we have to start winning matches if we are to reach the finals, said Mavhunga. In contrast, Polokwane coach Daniel Mabizela, said he was disappointed with the results. 8 23 rd September 2015 SAIMSA Moments MCC mentor confident of winning trophy Maseru City Council (MCC) netball coach, Thabo Mokobocho says he is positive that his team will walk away with the championship trophy from this year s Southern Africa Inter- Municipal Sports Association (SAIMSA) Games. Mokobocho said this after his charges hammered South African s OR Tambo 25-6 at the Makoanyane Barracks yesterday. He said they are not in this tournament to participate but to compete. We are going to do everything to win this competition. We are not here to add numbers. Our intention is to go straight into the final and win the trophy, said Mokobocho. Mokobocho, who said no team pose MCC netball team any threat to his charges so far, said he is spoiled for choice. He said the players that started the game against OR Tambo yesterday were as good as those who were on the bench. I had great players on the bench, equally good with the ones who started the game. So even if we would have injuries or need to make tactical changes we would do so without nervousness. Sharing the same sentiments, MCC goal-attacker, Nthabiseng Phokojoe, said their team boast with good players capable of winning trophies. Our team is going to win no matter what because we as players have a winning mentality and this is what will take us to the final. 8
