E2Prodigy Futsal House Rules
Futsal is not Soccer - Technique over force, no reckless or careless play. Offside Rule: No Offside in Futsal General Rules Game Duration - 45 minutes. Two, 20 minute halves, with a 5 minute halftime. No Overtime. The game will be decided by penalty kicks, In case of a tie. Three penalty shots per team (court players only), continued penalty shots if tied after three penalty shots. A player may not shoot twice, unless a full cycle of 5 has been completed. (SEMI/FINAL) Time Outs - Each team has ONE timeout per half, and can only be taken when the ball is out of play in your possession. Time out will be 1 minute and time will be stopped. Equipment Players on same team must wear same color uniforms (E2PRODIGY GAME JERSEYS FOR LEAGUE PLAY), shinguards and footwear with flat soles (no turf shoes allowed or cleats). The uniform of the goalkeeper must be a distinctly different color from that of his team, and the opposing team. Home team changes color in case of conflicting colors. During tournaments all players must wear numbered jerseys, and no two players on the same team may have identical uniform numbers. I. A player wearing a soft cast is permitted to play with permission of the referee. II. Hard casts are not permitted (unless they are well wrapped and to referee discretion).
Fouls and Misconduct In all dead ball situations, defending players must stand at least five feet away from the ball. If the defensive player's goal area is closer than five feet, the ball shall be placed five feet from the goal area in line with the place of the penalty. Free Kicks: may be indirect or direct. The ball must be stopped completely before the kick may be taken. Indirect Free Kicks: - When a player plays in a dangerous manner, impedes an opponent (without playing the ball), slide tackles an opponent or slides with an opponent near, prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball with his/her hands or commits any offence for which play is stopped to caution or eject a player. - Goal keeper handling the ball on his own half for more than 4 seconds, Goal keeper touches the ball with his/her hands in the penalty area after kicked to him/her by a teammate including on kick ins. Direct Free Kicks: When a player kicks or attempts to kick an opponent, jumps at an opponent, charges at an opponent, strikes or attempts to strike an opponent, pushes an opponent, holds an opponent, spits at an opponent or handles the ball deliberately. Yellow Card / Caution: The offending player is shown a yellow card. If a player earns two yellow cards in a match, he is shown a red card. Red Card / Ejection policy: (The following shall occur after a red card is issued.)
1. Immediate ejection from the current game and players seating area. 2. The offending team plays down for two minutes unless scored upon before the two-minutes. 3. The offending player serves a minimum one-match suspension (or more depending on severity). Must pay $20.00 suspension fee before returning. 4. Any player or coach receiving a red card must immediately leave the facility. Accumulated Fouls / AFPK: All penal fouls are recorded on the score sheet, referee will warn team coach on number of fouls accumulated. If red fouls blue a sixth time in one half, for that sixth penal, blue is awarded an accumulated fouls shoot out opportunity. Defenders may not be near the ball, shooting team must be in center circle, defending team must be at midfield line (outside the circle). The goalkeeper may come off his/her line when attacker has touched the ball. Accumulated fouls are reset to zero at the beginning of the second half and restart after a shoot out is awarded to the attacking team. Shoot out (AFPK): Are taken from the shoot out spot three point arc and must be rolled forward/dribbled at goal before shooting by a clearly identified kicker. Only occurs when opposing team has accumulate 6 fouls. Defenders may not be near the ball, shooting team must be in center circle, defending team must be at midfield line (outside the circle). Penalty Kicks: Are taken from the penalty spot (center of three point arc) and must be shot at goal by a clearly identified kicker. Defenders may not be nearer the ball, shooting team must be in center circle, defending team must be at midfield line (outside of circle).
Ceiling Infraction: If a ball is directly kicked at the ceiling/lights (not a deflection), the player will be removed for 2 minutes and their team will play down for the penalty time or until the opponent scores a goal. Ball should be a kick in from the nearest point to the infraction. Mercy rule = (5 goals) If a team is winning by 5 goals they must go a man down. Player may not go in unless the game is no longer being won by 5 goals and if coach decides to play him/her. If a team reaches a 6 goal difference while being down a player, the losing team may add an additional player. Player must come off once goal difference is no longer by 6. (Younger teams playing up will be able to play with 6 players once the score difference is by 3, while winning team removes 1 player. If the goal difference is by 4 goals, the losing team may play with 7 players. Additional players will have to come off once there is no more advantage of 4 goals.)*young TEAM RULE APPLIES IN TOURNAMENTS ONLY Restarts: Four Seconds on all Restarts. Restarts are: kick offs, kick ins, corner kicks, goal clearance, free kicks Referee must visibly perform the count. If ball doesn t go into play after 4 seconds, there will be an indirect kick from where the ball is last located Distance on Restarts: 5 feet Infringement is penalized with an indirect free kick from the spot of the infringement. Goal Clearance Is when the ball is passed directly out of the penalty area by the goalkeeper. Goalkeeper cannot pass the ball directly over the half line, ball must first touch teammate in his/her own half. Infringement sanctioned with an indirect free kick at 3 point line. No Punts nor drop kicks allowed.
Exception: When goalkeeper prevents the ball from going across the goal/end line, he can then throw the ball over the half line without it first bouncing on his side. Kickoffs: Are indirect. First pass must be played in your own half. Tapped balls are not in play. Kick ins: Are indirect. The ball must be placed behind the sideline and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds. The kicker's non-kicking foot must be out of bounds or on the line. (A kick in that goes directly in the opposing goal is a goal clearance for the opposing team. A kick in that goes directly in the defensive goal is a corner kick of the opposing team.) Corner Kicks: Are direct. The ball must be placed directly on the corner spot and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds. a goal may be scored directly from a corner kick. The Goalkeeper Must wear a different color shirt. He/She may wear long pants and/or other padding as deemed safe by the match referee. May receive a kickin directly (with feet). May score directly with his feet during the run of play. May not punt or drop-kick the ball. (Ball must settle to the ground or be touched first, no "air" under the ball when kicked.) May not possess (with hands) the ball for more than four seconds in his/her own half. Players & Rosters - Match is played 5v5, one of which is the goalkeeper. A match may not start if either team has fewer than 3 players. All players must have completed a
player registration/player waiver form (12 player roster max). All rosters will be checked for age compliance. Substitutions All substitutions are on the fly, this includes goalkeeper substitutions. Referees will not stop play for goalkeeping substitutions. A substitute may not enter the match until the player leaving the match is at the touchline in the substitution zone (in front of the team bench). Not at the halfway line. Any substitute who enters the field of play before the player being replaced has completely left the field of play may be shown a yellow card. All substitutions must take place in the technical area (in front of the team bench). Players with untied shoelaces will be asked to be substituted in order to continue safe play. Zero Tolerance Policy 1. Anyone fighting within the arena or on the facility property will be subject to termination in all events at E2PRODIGY FUTSAL, receive a $ dollar fine, and may face civil or criminal charges. 2. NO MATCH = NO PLAY. If a player does not have his ID with him/her we will continue the game and form an investigation. Player will have to submit a school ID for approval and for future competition. If the player was not approved, the previous game played will be forfeited. SPORTSMANSHIP: Players, coaches and spectators are expected to act in the nature of good sportsmanship at all times. 10 E2PRODIGY Facility Rules 1. Individuals utilizing this facility do so at their own risk. Please reference the Release of Liability/Assumption of Risk Agreement Form. No individual will be allowed to participate in any league games, practice session, tournament, clinic, or other activities unless a release form has been properly completed and signed. 2. Conduct within the facility should be in the spirit of good sporting behavior. Individuals are expected to play under control and within the rules of the game. They are to play to the best of their ability, and will avoid causing injury to other persons using the facility. 3. No alcohol or drug use prior to or during play. Doing so will result in ejection from the facility. 4. If you find or lose any item please report it immediately to any or all E2PRODIGY staff. We do not assume responsibility for any lost items. 5. All play must be conducted as set forth in E2PRODIGY Rules. 6. Maximum of two COACHES on the team s bench. 7. We reserve the right to refuse play and or service to anyone.
8. In League/tournament play a team may replace a player with a new player on their roster only if he or she has a season/tournament ending injury. A $50.00 administration fee will be charged to the new player and the new player will be eligible to play in the playoffs only if he or she was in the team s roster and played one game in the regular season/tournament. 9. In all leagues and tournaments if a team is caught using a non-rostered player, the team will be forced to forfeit the game. Summary of most common questions. - Individuals utilizing this facility do so at their own risk. - ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. Verbal and/or physical abuse will not be tolerated INDIVIDUALS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. - Team Roster must be filled out completely before the start of each league/tournament and turned in before the first game. - The team manager, coach or team representative is responsible for the conduct of all players, and for the conduct of all the team s spectators. - Team managers are responsible to ensure that all players have registered with E2PRODIGY management and are listed on the team s roster. - To avoid a forfeit fee ($50.00), E2P will need to receive in writing the cancellation/reschedule 48hrs before the game. - Any player or coach receiving a red card must immediately leave the facility.
- There are only 2 managers/coaches allowed on the bench with the rostered players. - NO CLEATS ALLOWED - Games start on the hour. - A team must have a minimum of 3 players on the field to be able to start. - Stoppage of time is made for removal of injured players from the field of play for treatment, or removal from an ejected player or fan. - Headers or Scissor kicks in which they do not land on their feet are allowed as long as they are not considered a dangerous play for the opponent. - Clock will only be stopped for a red card, severe injury or intentionally kicking the ball out. - We reserve the right to refuse play and or service to anyone. Slide Tackles: Futsal is a minimum contact sport. However, some contact may occur, as long as it is done in a legal manner. It cannot be done by play that is careless, reckless, or with excessive force. Slide tackling is allowed in futsal under certain conditions, if in the opinion of the referee: 1) No opponents are nearby, a player may slide to intercept or direct the ball. No foul results. 2) The slide is dangerous to an opponent, but no contact is made. Dangerous play foul results in an Indirect Free Kick. 3) Contact is made with an opponent in a careless, reckless or excessive force manner (or if referees believe that such
contact could have resulted). An accumulated foul results in a Direct Free Kick. Exceptions The GK is allowed to slide in an attempt to clear a free ball, if in referees judgment, the slide is an attempt to only make contact with the ball, not the opponent. If GK slide is at least careless (a foot head on, in air, a hook, rolling tackle) it is a foul and possibly a cardable offense. A field player may slide in instances where there is not an opponent close by and no injury is likely to occur. This would most likely happen when a player is attempting to stop the ball from going out of bounds or an offensive player sliding to knock the ball into the goal where there are not other defensive players close to the play. Players and coaches should use this general rule. If you slide tackle near a player, assume a foul may be called. Futsal Court GOALKEEPER BOX
