BUTTONWILLOW US Majors Tour Cal Club April 26-27, 2014 Buttonwillow Raceway Sanction 14-M-3016-S 2014 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS ( U.S. Majors Tour) This event is governed by the 2014 General Competition Rules (GCR) and Category Specifications, as amended for 2014 per FasTrack. REGISTRATION: Drivers can register for the race online at www.calclub.motorsportreg.com. Drivers may also download and entry form from the Cal Club web site www.calclub.com. Drivers without internet access may request a paper entry form and mail it to the club office: Ceci Smith, 4743 Canehill Ave, Lakewood, CA, 90713 At-event Registration will be held in the Cal Club office located on the left hand side as you enter the track. ENTRY FEES: Entry fee for the two-day weekend is $475.00 Each SRF and FE entry will be charged an additional $20.00 compliance fee per entry for the weekend. ENTRY FEE PAYMENT: Drivers who complete their registration online, via the motorsportsreg.com website, will be asked for a credit card, at the time of registration. Credit cards will not be charged until you arrive to registration at the track. You may change the format of payment at that time. We accept check, credit card or cash. If bringing cash we ask you have the correct change. Fees will be refunded ONLY if a car does not pass technical inspection or it does not put a wheel on the track, Drivers must notify registration before leaving the track DRIVERS Must present their valid: SCCA Membership & SCCA Photo I.D. Competition License CREW must present their valid: SCCA Membership HOT PIT PASSES: No Hot Pit passes will be issued after registration closes. CAR ELIGIBILITY: Competition is open to all cars conforming to the GCR, as amended. All cars are required to use fully operational AMB transponders. All cars are required to have US Majors Tour stickers visibly placed on each side of the vehicle. Stickers will be provided free of charge and may be obtained at registration and/or tech. COMPETITION NUMBERS: For entries received by the registrar through noon on April 5, 2014, Majors Series numbers that were reserved via the Majors Series Registration prior to the opening of online registration for this event will receive priority assignment. Secondary preference will be given to Cal Club reserved number holders. Due to the combination of classes within the run groups this may not be possible in all cases. At noon on April 5,2014, all unused reserved numbers will be released on a firstcome, first-served basis. TECH: Event Tech Stickers will be issued at On Site Registration to pre-registered drivers who bring their helmet, logbook with an Annual Tech stamp, and have their appropriate logbook page filled out for the event. Drivers without an Annual Tech stamp must complete the pre-race technical inspection at the appointed location to obtain their Tech Sticker. HOURS: See each event Schedule. **Tech is always closed at lunch.

SCALES: Scales are available from 10:00 am to the end of practice. During qualifying and racing a competitor may request to be weighed when the scales are not being used by the officials. IMPOUND: All cars must report directly to the impound area after each qualifying, and race session. The Series Chief Steward will release each group as soon as possible. Those who will be double dipping must notify the Chief of Tech prior to impound to secure an early release to the next event. SOUND CONTROL: A maximum limit of 103 db is not in effect for this event. Readings will be taken, and for your information, sound readings will be posted at the tech trailer. DRIVERS MEETING: A written drivers meeting will be e-mailed to all drivers Tuesday before the event and copies will be available at registration. A live drivers meeting will be held Saturday after each qualifying session at impound. EVENT SCHEDULE/RUN GROUPS: The event schedule or run groups may only be changed at the discretion of the Series Chief Steward, with concurrence by the Event Chair, depending on pre-race entry counts or as needed to accommodate situations that may be encountered during the event. If changes are made prior to the start of the event, as much notice as possible will be given to all affected competitors. The schedule as published is for planning purposes only. Actual session start times may deviate from the published schedule based on actual event progression. Listen to the PA system and pay attention to what is happening on track. GRID: Starting positions for the Saturday race will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during the preceding qualifying session(s). Starting positions for the Sunday race will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during each of the preceding qualifying session(s) and their fastest lap during the Saturday race. Cars arriving late to the grid, after their group has been dispatched on track, will be held at pit out and released at the end of the pack after the field has completed the pace lap. QUALIFYING: All Majors participants must qualify within 115% of the recognized lap record in his/her class in order to be allowed to start the race. The Series Chief Steward may waive this requirement and may allow non qualifiers to grid behind qualifiers. SPLIT STARTS: The Series Chief Steward will consider requests for split starts received by drivers meeting at impound on Saturday of event. PACE/SAFETY CAR: In addition to GCR 6.6.2., the field shall follow the PACE/SAFETY car as long as its emergency lights are flashing, even if it varies from the normal race course. In the event a full course yellow results in dispatch of the safety car, the safety car will enter the racing surface at pit out. RACE LENGTH: Saturday races will be 30 minute timed races, Sunday races will be 16 laps or 45 minutes, whichever occurs first.

COURSE: Configuration 25A Clock Wise at Buttonwillow is a 3.020 mile road course. TIMED SESSIONS: The session clock will start when the first car crosses the start/finish line and will continue to run during all flag conditions with the exception of the red flag. LAST LAP INDICATOR: When possible, a 1 to Go sign will be displayed at start/finish to indicate the last lap has begun. VICTORY LAPS: Winners of all races will receive a checkered flag. For Sunday races only, following the cool down lap, the winner of each class should proceed immediately to black flag, where they will receive a checkered flag and be directed on course for a single Victory Lap. Drivers need not wear their helmet or gloves during the victory lap and passengers are permitted in accordance with GCR 6.11.7. Drivers shall maintain a safe speed and be wary of safety vehicles which may be on course. VICTORY CELEBRATIONS and awards ceremony will be conducted in the impound area following the Sunday races. Door prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of each group s podium ceremonies and you must be present to win. AWARDS: Trophies for all races will be awarded in accordance with the GCR. Trophies will be presented at the event, with personalized plates mailed post-event. Majors points will be awarded for all races in accordance with the GCR. RESULTS: Live timing will be available during the event. Unless otherwise announced, live timing will be available via the Race Monitor App available for IPhone and Android phones. Qualifying, provisional and final results will be posted at Timing and Scoring. Drivers may obtain a copy of the final results from Timing and Scoring 30 minutes after the end of their race. Timing and Scoring is located below race control in the two story building. Additionally, final results will be posted to the region s and SCCA websites no later than 7 days following the completion of the event. RADIO FREQUENCIES: Cal Club operates on frequencies 463.5875, 468.5875, 464.6125, and 469.6125. These frequencies are guarded and shall not be used by any competitor or visitor. DATA ACQUISITION: Majors staff and their delegates may install data acquisition equipment in a competitor s car. This program is to assist the CRB in performance balancing. If selected, participation is not optional and is not protestable. The data collected will not be used for compliance purposes. SOCIAL EVENT: There will be a worker/competitor social at the conclusion of activities on Saturday. PROVISIONS: Gates to the track will be open 24 hours beginning Thursday April 24, 2014, you may come in any time and find a paddock spot. CAMPING is allowed in the paddock on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Water and electricity are available. Please contact Buttonwillow Raceway to reserve a RV spot with water and electric. 661-764- 5333. There is no over night camping on Sunday Evening. PARKING IN PADDOCK: During dry weather: Park your support vehicles on the grass, perpendicular to the asphalt to provide increased access for other competitors. (Please watch for and avoid driving over sprinkler heads while parking.) During wet weather or muddy conditions: You may park support vehicles on the Pavement if necessary. Racecars can be parked on the pavement at all tracks at all times. PADDOCK ROADS: There must be a clear and straight twenty-foot fire lane free of vehicles, Awnings and equipment. Violators of this ordinance will be immediately required to clear the lane upon order of any Safety Steward or a Race Official of the club or track. Violators may also be cited and fined by County Fire or County or State Police agencies in addition to being required to move from the fire lane. NO STAKES or any other object may be driven into pavement at any track. Racing cars and other heavy objects must be supported with jack stands and such stands must have a wood, metal or other pad between it and the asphalt to distribute the weight and avoid damage to the surface. Drivers and or entrants will be charged for asphalt repairs caused by improper or inadequate jack support. SURFACE DAMAGE caused by the spilling of fuel, solvent, oil or any other material may result in the track charging the driver and/or entrant for damage to the surface or required clean up. The driver s pit stall is the driver s/entrant s not the crewmembers responsibility. USED TIRES may not be left at the tire shop or any other location within the track without the permission of the tire shop staff. Used tires may never be left at the track. HAZARDOUS WASTE MATERIALS: Any person bringing hazardous waste materials to the track must remove all such materials from the track. Whenever the track provides an official used oil dump station/fuel station, appropriate and approved fluids may be deposited. Charges and other sanctions will be assessed for violations at all tracks. Violators may also be subject to a minimum fine of $500 per offense imposed by track management USE OF SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER SKATES AND ROLLER BLADES IS PROHIBITED. No one may operate a motorized vehicle of any kind without a valid Driver s License EMERGENCY CALLS: You can call Buttonwillow Raceway at 661-764-5333 tell them the party you are trying to reach is with SCCA/Cal Club, please only call this number for emergencies. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES In no case may alcoholic beverages be consumed prior to the final checkered flag of the day. CLOTHING: Closed toed shoes are required on the grid and over the wall on pit lane. Crew members on pit lane must display their event credentials at all times while on pit lane. Hot Pits are RESTRICTED AREAS. HOT PASSES (and SCCA membership) ARE REQUIRED and will be checked by grid personnel. Pre-grid/Grid and Tech/Impound are controlled areas; please follow the directions of Race Officials Pre-grid is closed to through traffic at all times. Unless signaling a car or tending to a car in the Hot Pits, all persons must remain behind the pit wall. Smoking is prohibited in the Hot Pits, Tech/Impound, Pre-Grid/Grid and all buildings.
