@ TEAMLJHS Spring Student Led Conferences We hope you have had the chance to sign up for our student led conferences. Student led conferences for 7th graders will be Monday, Feb. 27th and 8th graders Tuesday, Feb 28th. Your student will take you through their current progress, their growth they have made this year, their plans for next year, and goals they have for their future. These conferences are important in helping your student achieve at high levels and for their planning for their future. If you have questions about student led conferences please let us know. ISTEP Testing We will be ISTEP testing next Tuesday and Wednesday. PLEASE try and have your student in attendance. Please make sure they have had a good night sleep and breakfast. Thank you for your help in making our students succeed. Winner, Winner During our Fill the Bleachers night, all honor roll students, who were present, received a hot dog, water, and were entered into a drawing for a Kindle Fire. Track Season Is Approaching Track and golf will begin March 13th. Before participating, athletes must have the following papers on file with the athletic director 1. Physical 2. Concussion form 3. Insurance information 4. Code of conduct 5. Emergency medical form Forms can be downloaded from the Lincoln athletic webpage. See Ms Gilbert in 107 if you have any questions.

8th Grade Girls Basketball The 8th grade girls basketball "A" team played two games at the Lancer Classic, opening up against non-south Bend Lasalle Academy. The Red Storm came out strong and used suffocating defense, good ball movement and solid rebounding that led to their 42-21 victory. Olivia Horvath led the offensive charge with 13 points, Lindsay Janus added 9, Tallulah Gault chipped in 8 while Emma Cook and Makenzie Dejarnatt had 6 points apiece. Dejarnatt, Cook, Horvath, Mia Wojcik and Gault hauled down 4 rebounds each. Janus, Cook and Madison Stiles had 3 assists each apiece while Janus had 5 steals and Miranda German had 3 steals on the defensive end. The Red Storm team faced a very disciplined and efficient Pioneer team that capitalized on turnovers and poor shooting by Lincoln. Dejarnatt led the way with 5 points, Wojcik had 4, Gault added 3. Janus and Cook had 2 points apiece while Horvath closed out the scoring with 1 point. Gault had 6 rebounds and Horvath snagged 4 boards. Janus added two assists and two steals in the effort. Pioneer handed the Red Storm their first loss 28-17. The Red Storm 8th grade girls basketball team is now 12-1. The Red Storm team faced a tough, scrappy Edgewood team and lost a key conference matchup on a last second buzzer beater by Audrey Grimm, 24-23. Makenzie Dejarnatt paced the scoring with 8 points, Tallulah Gault added 6 points while Lindsay Janus and Emma Cook chipped in with 3 points each. Mia Wojcik had 2 points and Madison Stiles added 1 point to round out the Red Storm scoring. Cook also added 3 assists and 2 steals, while Miranda German grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Wojcik grabbed 3 rebounds and Gault hauled in 2 boards and handed out 2 assists. The Red Storm 8th grade girls basketball team is now 12-2. Spirit Week Dress Up Days Thursday- Beach Day Friday- 8th Wear Black 7th Wear Red 7th Grade Girls Basketball The 7th grade A and B teams took on the Lady Komets from LaPorte Kesling last night. Both teams were able to bring down a win. The A team won 35-11 and the B team won 42-9. Clare Sheedy was top scorer for the A team with 13 points, followed by Sydney Rice with 7, Hannah Friberg with 6, Keiara Himes with 4, Sara Hunter with 3, and Olivia Newcomb with 2. In the B team game, Chloe Holten dominated the post with 18 points. Madison Figg and Madie Mann each scored 6, Summer South and Guad Jimenez added 3 each and Olivia Newcomb and Erin Liedtky tallied a bucket each. The 7th grade girls basketball team traveled to LaVille for a shootout this weekend. In the first game, the girls battled hard against a tough and aggressive LaSalle Academy team. They fought hard but came up short, 29-49. Hannah Friberg and Sydney Rice were high scorers with 6 each, followed closely by Keiara Himes and Clare Sheedy with 5 and Sara Hunter with 4. In the second game, the girls took on a fundamentally sound Pioneer team and fell 14-40. Kami Burkett led they team with 5 points followed by Keiara Himes with 4, Lauren Rumpler with 3 and Hannah Friberg with 2. The 7th grade girls fought hard but fell short against the Lady Tigers from Edgewood Tuesday night 37-10. Sydney Rice was top scorer with 4 points and Kami Burkett had a big three to start a small push in the third quarter. Leah Tanner and Clare Sheedy also got on the board for the Lady Storm. The gym will be open to set up from 9:30-11:00. The festivities will begin at 11:00 and end at 2:00.
