2017-2018 INFORMATION SESSION

East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club We are a parent organized Non-Profit 501(c) 3 membership organization madeup of female and male athletes ages 10-18 USAV is the governing body and is divided into geographic regions (40) We are part of the Carolina Region: www.carolinaregionvb.org We also participate in JVA and AAU tournaments

Our Mission East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club will provide the resources and education necessary to develop a solid foundation of volleyball skills for every studentathlete. We strive to foster a solid technical knowledge base, skill-set, sportsmanlike conduct, and a love for the game in each player. We provide the opportunity to develop our studentathletes' leadership skills, competitive attitude, and a desire to achieve their highest goals.

2017-2018 COMPETITIVE LEVELS

What s Included in Total Cost? All Tournaments Registration fees, coaches travel expenses Regionals & multi-day tournaments/qualifiers Coaching and Instruction Head and Assistant Coach compensation Programs and Training All practices through season Club Training Camp Strength and agility training Additional instructional camps/clinics offered Facility/Equipment Cost Usage and fees for 2 facilities Administrative Costs Insurance, Exec/Admin Staff, Website, etc. We base our cost on the number of players in the club

Highest Level: Exposure to college coaches, very competitive play Ages 13-17 s More multi-day tournaments, fewer regionals Will play through June at AAU Nationals in Orlando o National Level Teams Administrative and coaching fees are included in monthly payment $500 deposit on signing night, followed by 7 monthly payments Dec. -June Uniform payment includes: 4 jerseys, a warmup jacket, and 2 practice t-shirts

Includes regional tournaments and multi-day tournaments Ages 12 s-18 s Semi-National Level Teams Will play at Big South in Atlanta in March 14-18 s will play at Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. Feb 17-19 th $500 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments December-April Uniform payment includes : 4 jerseys and 2 practice t-shirts Warmup jacket optional

Participate in mainly regional level tournaments plus 2 multi-day tournaments Raleigh and Williamsburg, VA Ages 12-17 s Regional Level Teams $400 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments December-April Uniform payment includes: 3 jerseys and 2 practice t-shirts Warmup jacket optional

Semi-Regional Level Teams All tournaments will be one day events in Eastern NC Ages 12-14 s, depending on tryouts $400 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments December-April Uniform payment includes: 2 jerseys, 2 practice t-shirts Warmup jacket optional

Developmental Level Teams 2 hour Sunday practices beginning November 19th- Mar 25th Ages 10-14 s Do not need to attend travel tryouts if you re only interested in this level Separate registration form/fee If you do not make a travel team, we will offer the Developmental option to players ages 14 and under Will participate in 2 half-day tournaments in Raleigh One-time fee of $450 Practice t-shirt and 1 jersey included

Tryouts Dates Middle School (14 and under) October 21st-25 th High School (15 and over): November 5 th -9 th Registration form and payment online at our NEW WEBSITE! http://eastcarolinajvc.com/ Tryout by grade level 1-3 sessions per age group In best interest to attend both sessions NEW THIS SEASON: NATIONAL LEVEL TRYOUT Tryouts will be held at Martin Gym and are closed to parents ECJVC coaches will evaluate players based on ability, leadership and commitment All players will be contacted by phone or email throughout the tryout week no matter what! Signing Nights: Oct. 27 th for 11-14s & Nov. 10 th for 15-18s

USAV Age Definition Chart How old will you be on August 31 st, 2018? That is the age group you will play in. 18 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1999 or still in high school 17 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2000 16 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2001 15 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2002 14 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2003 13 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2004 12 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2005 11 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2006

Club Training Camp After all teams are confirmed: ECJVC will hold mandatory Club Training Camp sessions Begins the week of November 13 th Main focus is specific technical training in: passing, serving, defense, hitting skills Consistent coaching of fundamentals across all ages Sessions will be held at both Martin Gym and Next Level TC Multiple sessions will be offered for all age groups, dates/time TBD All ECJVC players must attend at least 2 sessions Last training session will be Tuesday, November 21 st

Practices Team practices will begin the week of November 27 th National & Semi-National Teams Practice Tuesday & Thursday Regional & Semi-Regional Teams Practice Monday & Wednesday 2.5 Hours 2 Hours of Volleyball Instruction 30 Mins of Strength & Conditioning Training 2 Hours 2 Hours of Volleyball Instruction *12 Black and 13 Purple will practice 2 hours M/W

Tournament Schedule The Carolina Region will have one-day regional tournaments on Saturdays and Sundays depending on the age group.
