The Consult (?fié?. C Sen ors Games Society SeniorsGamesSociety Select 0" 01'3P0 t5 Selection of Sports The BC Seniors Games Society (BCSGS) has a Sport Selection policythat involves collaboration between the Host Society and the BCSGS. It represents an adaptable model that can be scaled up or down given the strategies of the Host Society, venue availability, and event hosting capacity of a community. Expectations The Host Society is expected to select sports based on the sport tier system below. Placementin the tier system is based upon the number of zones that send participants to the Games. The sports intier 1 have had participants from 10 to 12 zones, while those in tier 3 have participationfrom 4 zones or fewer. Host Society should select a minimum of 20 sports, but are encouraged to include as many sports as they can reasonably accommodate. Ifthere is a sport that you would like to include but cannot meet the minimum requirements of, you may contact the BCSGS for advice on how to proceed. A submission of sports and venues is expected forthe end of September and final sports will be approved by the BCSGS by the end of November. with BCSGS Executive and BC Games Society Event Managers for more guidance on this process. The Sports Tier System Tie Tier 1 Ifyou have a facility in your community that meets the stated minimumfacility requirement for the given sport, then it is highly recommended that these sports be included in the Games Tier 2 It is recommended that a minimum of 7 of these Sports be selected Tier 3 The Host Society may select 1 to 3 of these sports Carpet Bowling * Cribbage Cycling Dans Five Pin Bowling Archery * Badminton * B?dge Dragon Boat Racing * Floor Curling Ice Hockey Lawn Bowling * Bocce Cricket Equestrian * Fast Pitch * " Golf Horseshoes * Ice Curling * Swimming * Track & Field * Pickleball Slo Pitch * Soccer Table Tennis * Tennis Whist Karate * " Mountain Bike Racing Snooker Squash * "
