C Sen ors Games Society SeniorsGamesSociety Select 0" 01'3P0 t5 Selection of Sports The BC Seniors Games Society (BCSGS) has a Sport Selection policythat involves collaboration between the Host Society and the BCSGS. It represents an adaptable model that can be scaled up or down given the strategies of the Host Society, venue availability, and event hosting capacity of a community. The sports intier 1 have had participants from 10 to 12 zones, while those in tier 3 have participationfrom 4 zones or fewer. Host Society should select a minimum of 20 sports, but are encouraged to include as many sports as they can reasonably accommodate. Ifthere is a sport that you would like to include but cannot meet the minimum requirements of, you may contact the BCSGS for advice on how to proceed. A submission of sports and venues is expected forthe end of September and final sports will be approved by the BCSGS by the end of November. with BCSGS Executive and BC Games Society Event Managers for more guidance on this process.
