Date: January 9, 2012 Basket On The Run To promote comaraderie among District IX Student Councils Distrtict IX Student Councils Basket, Candy, Letter, Plastic Wrapping Bel Air Student Council wanted to promote camaraderie between the District IX Student Councils. This basket had candy and a letter. The letter explained the concept of keeping the "Basket on the Run." TASC District #: 7 Brazoswood High School Alice Artman aartman@brazosportisd.net Date: December 16, 2011 Christmas Cheer To promote holiday spirit student body and faculty Santa and Elf costumes, candy canes, cart, poster, marker, Oriental Trading toys Council members dressed up before school and during lunches and passed out candy canes and toys to students and faculty members. One student carried a sign reading "Merry Christmas".
Franklin High School TASC District #: Sarah James scjames@episd.org IX Date: October 10-11, 2014 Fright Night Camping Trip To provide an opportunity for bonding among Student Council members Student Council officers and members Camping Supplies Student Council advisors, officers, and members set out after school one Friday for an overnight camping trip. We traveled about two hours away to a lake and set up tents for the night. A campfire was built and food was cooked on the fire. Fun stories were told and a lot of fun was had by everyone. The camping trip was part of the new socials plan that our Student Council does every month.

Date: 2/26/12-3/2/12 School Flag Competition To spread pride around our school by challenging the advisories of our 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grade classes. The challenge is to see who can make the best school flag; They have only a week to create a flag. Classes of 2018, 2017, and 2016 One week for each class to create their flag. On February 26, 2012 through March 2, 2012 student council will announce the flag competition, During advisory (or another free period) each advisory class will decorate their flags, Through the week (stated above) student council will be watching the progress of each door. On the final day March 2, 2012 student council will judge each Flag (a rubric will be used to judge). On March 2, 2012 student council will announce who won the competition. The winning of the competition will win doughnuts provided by student council.
Keller High School TASC District #: 3 Katie Keyes katie.keyes@kellerisd.net List other applicable categories: SP Date: May 22, 2013 Bring Your Own Banana To celebrate the end of STARs and TAKS with ice cream and a senior vs. Faculty basketball game. KHS Student Body and Faculty Ice cream, toppings, paint, paint brushes, and butcher paper School would be run on assembly schedule so that during 8 th period there would be time for a Senior vs. Faculty baskeball game. Students would pay $2.00 to their 8 th period teachers in order ro get the ticket that ould get them out of class and to the basketball game. After the game was over and as everyone was going home Student Council members handed out free ice cream to anyone who wanted any at the front of the school. This project was a great way to not only raise money but to get all the students and faculty involved.
