The standard by which conduct or treatment will be measured is that which a person, informed and experienced in generally accepted equine training and exhibition procedures, would determine to be neither cruel, abusive nor inhumane. All competitors are asked to work one volunteer shift per entry during the show. Volunteer shifts will be worked around your ride schedule. We are facing increased costs due to the requirement of stewards and we are finding it necessary to increase the entry fees to cover this. By inviting or asking our competitors/riders to volunteer, we are trying to make it possible for the riders to reduce their cost of entering our show. Shows take volunteers to run, and the lack of volunteers has been an issue in the past years. This will help reduce the work through many hands. No shift will last longer than 1 hour and may be worked by an individual appointed by the rider. If you feel you are unable to volunteer, you may pay a fee of $30 per entry to void this requirement.
