Our visitors thoroughly enjoyed their two-week stay and they will be missed by many of us at BGHS. The success of such exchanges depends largely on the hospitality of families and the wider community. BGHS Athletics Soccer Players Make All-State Team Congratulations to the girl s and boy s soccer players who were named to the all-state team earlier this week. Way to go Purples. 1 st team Peter May 2 nd team Tori Dillard and Charles Carpenter Honorable Mention Sarah Donnelly, Alexis Lawrence, and Keenan Vincent Meet the Girl s and Boy s Basketball Teams Thursday, November 11 th @ 6:00pm BGHS Arena Football News http://www.purplesfootball.com/ BGHS vs. Madisonville North Hopkins: The game time for Friday has been moved to 7:30 PM due to a request from Madisonville North Hopkins. The series between these two schools began in 1930. stats from last week: Six different Purples, including three freshmen scored touchdowns in the win over Barren County. Jr RB Hunter Neveras was the only Purple with two touchdowns, on runs of 54 and 5 yards. Fr RB Blue Tisdale scored his first career touchdown on a 38-yard reception from Tevin Anderson. Fr WR Nacarius Fant had a 25-yard touchdown reception and Fr RB Blake Pillow scored on a 5-yard run. Jr QB Scooter Hollis tied a state record held by several with a 99-yard touchdown run. Hollis is the second Purple to have a 99- yard run in the past two seasons. Jr CB Montel Carpenter had a 99-yard scoring run against Owensboro Catholic in 2009. PURPLE NOVEMBER: BGHS is 16-2 in Nov. games in the past five seasons. 600 WINS: BGHS needs 2 more wins to reach the 600-win mark in football. YOUNGER PURPLES: The BGHS JV team finished the season at 7-0. The BGHS Freshman team finished at 8-1, splitting a pair of games with Owensboro.
