November 2018 Newsletter Thank you for being Broadway Bound! Show Costume Billing The costume selection and ordering process, for the annual performance is lengthy and therefore we need to begin early. Costumes have been selected for each of the classes and we will measure students to determine their sizes. A binder showing all of the costumes will be available at the studio. Contrary to common belief, costumes are not stocked but are generally custom ordered in an effort to minimize the manufacturer s inventory and shelf life; therefore, it is not uncommon to order costumes six months prior to a performance. It is also the policy of most costume companies to require full payment at the time of the order. We realize this may be a burden for many of our student families just prior to the holidays however, we need to place our orders and pay for them in order to guarantee delivery and allow time for adjustments if necessary. Everyone should have received a statement or invoice via e-mail showing the costume charge. If a student takes more than one class, they will have more than one costume. Payment must be made by December 1, 2016. Payment made after December 10th will incur a $10 late fee. Costumes must be ordered by the end of the year to guarantee delivery by May allowing enough time for adjustments if needed. It has always been our goal to keep costume costs below the industry standard. We have tried to select costumes within our price range or with combination pieces to provide additional flexibility and economic benefit. Last year was our first increase in several years and this year, even though costume companies have made substantial price increases in their latest catalogs we will NOT increase our costume fee. This year the fee will remain at $59.99. We are unable to order costumes without payment and therefore you run the risk of not being able to perform in the show if you do not have a costume. Costume payments are nonrefundable. When paying for costumes please keep all payments separate from your tuition since they are accounted for in their own accounting process. Please write a separate check. IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: We would really prefer a check or cash payment for costumes to avoid the credit card surcharge. If you must use a credit card, we will charge the costumes to the credit card we have on file however, we will not charge costumes unless you specifically request it. Your approval for AutoPay at the time of registration is ONLY FOR TUITION. If you want us to charge your card, please reply to this email. We cannot charge the card, for costumes, without your specific approval.
Hey do you want a FREE recital costume? Want a little help with the Christmas budget? We are offering a new holiday promotion! If you refer a new student to Broadway Bound, during the month of November, we will pay for your recital costume. That s any referral. Have a friend at work with a three-year-old? We will pay for your recital costume if they sign up for classes. If you refer any new student, we will pay for one of your dance costumes. That could be very helpful at this financially stressful time of the year. And please don t forget your referrals are our best source of new students. We appreciate your help and we want you to know your support is very important to us. Halloween was a hoot at Broadway Bound! For additional pictures check out our Facebook Page. It s time for Adam and Roy! November 30 th December 2 nd Once again, we were so happy to have Adam Cates and Roy Lightner return to Broadway Bound for a weekend of intensive dance instruction for our students. Our competitive dancers will enjoy a full curriculum of master choreography while our recreational dancers will be introduced to advanced instruction by two wonderful dance professionals. A class schedule will be released soon, and all dancers are encouraged to take a class from them. It is always a "family" affair of catered meals and good times. We are looking forward to seeing our old friends once again! Hurry home Adam and Roy!
The On-line Store is still OPEN The second order in our On-line store has been placed. The On-line store will remain open until midnight on Monday, November 26, 2018 to purchase your studio apparel and bags. Those orders will be received by December 10 th just in time for Christmas. You may select the link below and explore the shirts, pants, bags and other assorted logo items. Proudly display the Broadway Bound name wherever you go. By the way some new items have been added to the store including some sparkle and bling. And be sure you wear the required dress code items to class. On-line Store Is your Buddy thinking about coming to Broadway Bound? Remember if your buddy signs up, you will receive one costume FREE. It s time for our Annual Holly, Jolly Christmas Show! We are working feverishly to prepare for our sixth annual Christmas Show to be held on Saturday, December 8th at the Amato Theatre in Milford at 12:00 and 2:00. A significant number of students will be participating. We do not plan to have any additional rehearsals outside of class time and we do not anticipate any costume cost. We will be doing some creative costuming and accessorizing. Reserved seating tickets are available at the desk for $10.00. A rehearsal schedule is posted on the studio bulletin board. Merrimack Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Once again, we have been asked to participate in the annual Merrimack Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting. We are looking for kids to ride in the truck for the parade. All students and siblings are welcome to participate. The parade is Sunday, December 2 nd at 3:00pm and we will meet at 2:30 at Tractor Supply. The parade concludes with the tree lighting at the gazebo at the town hall. Please sign up at the desk. There's still time to enroll for classes We will be accepting new students up until January 31, 2019. At that time, we will need to lock in our classes and prepare our dances for the annual performance in June. If you know of anyone who just finished soccer or cheerleading and would like to start taking classes, please let them know they still have time. Your word of mouth promotion of the studio is always very much appreciated, and referrals are rewarded. Why not share your dance experience with your friends? Are you interested in buying dance attire? Check out the samples we have on display in the studio s upstairs waiting area. If you see something you like we can order it for you.
Shoe Orders We place shoe orders on the 15 th of each month. We prefer that you purchase your shoes from us so that they are the style and quality we are looking for. The shoe buckets will be put away soon so please make every effort to get your shoes. If you decide to buy ballet shoes elsewhere, please be sure to purchase only PINK ballet shoes. Wanted: Shoes for our Loaner Bucket! If you have any shoes, in good condition, that you no longer need, we would love to have them for our shoe buckets for others to borrow. Did you play fall sports? Cheerleading? If you took a break from the studio to participate in Fall sports and cheerleading, we would encourage you to register now for the class you want when you return. We have made several changes to the schedule and we want to be sure you get the class you want. Make sure you secure your spot in the class by registering NOW! Contact Amy NOW!
MARK THE DATE: Annual Recital Weekend June 21 nd 23 th Be sure to mark your calendars! The annual recital will be held June 21 st through June 23 rd at the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley in Milford. This is a wonderful facility which provides terrific seating, a large stage, massive wings, a huge green room and lobby with a snack bar. Most children will appear in only one show on one of those dates however many students will appear in several shows. Show assignments will not be made until the spring but please try to leave the weekend open. Why not consider AutoPay for your tuition? Direct Payment is encouraged We would like to remind you that we accept credit and debit cards for direct payment. Tuition will be automatically paid on the first of each month (or any other date you wish prior to the 10th) from your checking or credit card account. There is no charge for this service. Take advantage of this opportunity and never forget your tuition payment again, avoid late fees, save postage and mailing hassles and simply make tuition payment a little easier. Late payment reminder No one was charged a late fee in September due to the settling in period. Remember, tuition is due the 1st of each month and late by the 10 th of each month. If tuition is not paid on time the credit card you have placed on file with us may be charged the monthly tuition and a $10 late fee will also be added to your account.
