April, as you know, has been a tough month for golf weather. I think we ve finally turned the corner and are finally seeing some warmer weather. Although it s warmer that usually means the fan will start to blow. We were supposed to host our Demo Day yesterday, but it was not a pleasant day out on the range due to the high winds. I will try to reschedule it for sometime in May so keep your eyes open for a new date for that. As we head into May we do have some events on the calendar to note. Our annual Kiwanis Colorado River Scramble will be on the 18th, and I hear that it s already full! Men s Club and Ladies Club should be in full swing and our League will start up on the 9th at the usual time of. Looking ahead to early June we have our Men s Mesa Open the first weekend and our Junior Program starting on the 10th. I ve included information about both of those in this newsletter, but as always if you have any questions please let me know. Something else to look forward to in May is our clubhouse s facelift. All of the wood trim, siding and railings will be updated with new paint and new colors. The cinder block will stay the same color, but will be repaired and repainted as needed. It should really improve the aesthetics of our property!! Let s hope for better weather in May so we can all get out there more and play! All of the ball washers and trash cans have been painted bright red (they used to be green!) The new water cooler stations have been installed and are operational We have a new mailbox on #2 tee Doug made all new red hazard stakes There are sand bottles on our new carts, so don t hesitate to fill your divots!
