Thank you for supporting the Fun Run! The students have completed their run today. We had a blast! Now you need to help your children contact their sponsors. Inform them of the amount they owe based on the number of laps the child completed. Each child will have the number of laps they completed marked on the back of their Fun Run t-shirt. If the sponsor gives you cash, make sure it is in an envelope with the students name on it. If they write a check, have it made out to Big Creek PTA and write the students name on the bottom of the check. The easiest method of payment will be on-line with PayPal or a credit card. In order to fulfill pledges on-line: 1. go to www.fund-runners.com 2. go to the box titled "Sponsors" 3. click on "donate now" 4. scroll down to the box "Big Creek Elementary" 5. click the "donate" button 6. then continue to log in for PayPal or pay using a credit card By using the on-line method, you will be sure your donation is received and you will have a receipt of payment. It will also help by reducing the amount of money we need to process and record by hand. The PTA thanks you for participating in our fund raiser and supporting Big Creek's students and staff! The money raised will be used for all PTA funded programs which include field trips, performing arts program, classroom grants for educational materials, and special events. Once all of the pledges have been collected, we will report the final amount raised in the Wildcat Weekly. We would like to have all of the money collected and turned in by Friday, Oct. 8th.

Don t miss the chance to check out the new titles. The Book Fair will be open: Monday Oct 4 Thursday Oct 7 from 8:00-2:30 Friday Oct 8 from 8:00-12:00 Tuesday Oct 5 from 3:30-5:30 we will have an after school family event. Rita s Italian Ice will be sharing samples. Stop by for some great books and a sweet treat! Does your student need a tutor? The Big Creek Tutoring List is now posted on our web-site. Fifth grade Horizons students have Science Fair projects on display October 11-15. They will be shown in our multi purpose room. Please stop by and see the results of their hard work! Important Announcement! All first graders will perform "Frog and Toad" the musical Friday, October 15 from 9:00-9:30am in the auditorium. Family members are welcome to attend! EARLY RELEASE DAYS: October 14 th and 15 th Please come by the media center to enjoy the student s art and take your projects home! (Boxes and newspaper will be available to pack up the art) Counselor s Corner~ The Character theme for the month of October is: Making a Difference We ALL can! GREEN TIME! In effort to keep our water clean, Keep Forsyth County Beautiful has provided decals to be placed on neighborhood storm drains reminding residents not to dump any items into the drains. These are peel & stick decals and need to be placed on the drains before the weather turns cold. Our goal is to have storm drain decals in every subdivision in Big Creek s school district. Can you help? Contact: Kathleen Kraynick at leen67@att.net
