Dr Brent Layton, SNZ Chair Dr Brent Layton was invited to address delegates and guests. Key points from his address include: SNZ s appreciation of the support recived from the Region in particular from the Technical Officials for their on-going support of National Meets. The cost of WRAC was a consideration in SNZ moving events away from Wellington. However SNZ is commited to holding at least one event per year at WRAC. Highlights include the swimming and ratification Lauren Boyle s World record in Wellington. It has been suggested to the WCC that a plaque commemorating each world record achieved at WRAC should be commissioned and placed at the pool. SNZ Annual Financial report shows a small profit. A recently acquired sponsorship deal which he expects to be announced in late September. On a personal note Dr Layton will retire from the SNZ Board this year and would like to thank Swimming Wellington for it s support during his term.
