5 2018 Competition Dates Junior football season starts on the weekend of April 7/8 th Team entry form for online entries will be sent out Mon 20 th February Travel League entries close on the 9 th March Local league entries close on the 16 th March First weeks draws up by the 28 th March No games : Middle weekend of School holidays April (21 st & 22 nd ) and July (14 th & 15 th )
6 2018 Regulation Changes Clarification Girls can play down a grade in Mixed Leagues NOT Girls Only 9/10 th Grade Half-Time Reword - 2 games of 2x 12 minute halves with a 60 second turnaround No team has the right to refuse an appointed match official by CF Mercy Rule +8 score lines to read: 7.1 If a team goes ahead by eight goals: the match is paused the score is recorded for grading purposes The coach of the losing team has the option of: i. the two teams are mixed to form two teams of similar ability & the remainder of the match is played ii. the match is continued but the final score is not recorded Any Premier Grade End of Season Tournaments will only be held when/if league is completed
7 2018 Regulation Changes Updated coaching qualification requirements for th Grade Football Fundamentals th Grade Completed one Youth Level 2 module in the season Clarification a maximum of two premier players can be regraded to a lower grade (including local leagues), where absolutely needed Outlier Clause The competitions manager can identify teams outside of the regrade criteria that need to go up/down with their consent Clarification that clubs have the right to hold on to their Premier C place if they are bottom of the table at regrade points

17 Football in Schools Football in Schools is Football Physical Education delivered by local clubs coaches. Football in Schools is a great way to link your club to your community, enhance club image, provide coaching work for one or two members of your club: KiwiSport Football in Schools (administered by Capital Football and Hutt City Council). Separate Club Models of Football in Schools. Capital Football FDO s are keen support ALL programmes, as long as they are aligned to the NZF curriculum.
18 Football in Schools Schools Many clubs did a great job developing their own models and ensuring their local schools had access to a programme Schools currently registered KiwiSport Football in Schools is now FREE for lower decile schools, Wellington Phoenix have agreed to provide visits or tickets to all schools who sign up. It is therefore important that all clubs capable of staffing and coaching Football in Schools programmes sign the contract with us for 2018.

29 Girls Football Update KiwiSport Funding Application Transition of Female Players in to Youth and Senior Football Thank you to those clubs who contributed to this application with letters of support! We received $23,588 + GST for this project
30 Girls Football Update U18 Girls Only League 2018 Winter Season We are seeking to address the lack of female players transitioning from the junior game, into the youth and senior space. Nearly 1000 female players are involved with College Football. This number does not transfer into club football, even once they leave school.
31 Girls Football Update U18 Girls Only League Objectives Bridge the gap from junior to senior football Attract year olds girls ( community/social players) to football with an age-appropriate league Retain female players after 14 th grade with an age-appropriate league Provide high quality experiences for all female players Clubs to focus on female youth development and player welfare Clubs to have a focus on the wider community and not just the talent/elite pathway (provide opportunities for all teenage girls)
