Go Warriors! *Homecoming Dance : * There will be a dance for the High School on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 7:30-10:30 pm * will be served * This year s dance is located at The Long Beach Aquarium * Photo Booth Pictures included * Tickets on sale NOW -- $75 until Friday October 5th *Ticket Prices Increase to $85 after October 5th * Final Day to buy tickets is Wednesday, October 10th * Tickets NOT available at the door. As always, please remind your student(s) to come to our dances with an attitude of respect for himself/herself, each other, adults and most importantly the Lord. 1) Homecoming Dance Details * Saturday, October 13th, 2018 Location: Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach * 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, Ca. 90802 * 7:30-10:30 PM (Dessert and photo booth pictures included) * Tickets on sale NOW $75 until Friday October 5th - Prices increase to $85 after Friday Oct. 5th * LAST day to buy tickets is Wednesday October 10th * Tickets will NOT be available at the door * Tickets on sale in the ASB Room D4 OR with Monica through the office * Students must submit guest contracts for approval no later than Wednesday, October 10th for Non-SVCS students (must be in high school) OR one-year graduated SVCS alumni 2) No inappropriate dancing will be allowed: * No contact (with the exception of slow dancing where you will be asked to show appropriate contact) * Please dance to have fun and not to bring attention to yourselves. If you do not understand any of the above, the ASB advisors will be happy to explain. 3) Other Important Details * Dress is Semi- Formal; parents please help ensure that attire is appropriate. Please make arrangements to have dress length approved if it is more than 3 inches above the knee. Combination of tight and short must have pre-approval. * Students will not be allowed to leave the dance before 10:00 without parental permission. (Dance ends at 10:30pm) * SVCS has strict dance music guidelines. Students are encouraged to submit any music request ahead of time for approval. Looking forward to a GREAT dance! Homecoming dance info. and follow up info. to be emailed home! 1. Non- SVCS student guests must be pre-approved to attend the dance. Please pick up a form in the office and return it by Wed. October 10th for approval. Guests must be in high school. For the Homecoming Dance - one year SVCS alumni are allowed to attend. Please submit a guest form to the office as well. 2. Reminder about dress code for the dance. As we rapidly approach the Homecoming Dance, we want to reiterate the required dress code standards. We want to particularly emphasize the importance of proper dress length for the ladies. If you re student is planning to wear a short dress and there is ANY question about the length, please bring it to the office NO later than Mon. October 8th to have it approved by an ASB advisor. Thank you to all the ladies that have already taken this step to ensure the appropriateness of their dress length. Please take into consideration that dancing can cause dresses to move up or appear shorter. Combination of tight and short must have pre-approval. Thank you for partnering with us in this very important detail! IMPORTANT: IF YOU COME TO THE DANCE IN A DRESS WHICH IS DETERMINED TO BE TOO SHORT, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PUT ON LEGGINGS (WHICH WILL BE PROVIDED), SVCS PE Clothes, OR TO GO HOME AND CHANGE. Other dress code standards to consider: * Dress is semi-formal * Boys: Jacket and tie or suit * Girls: Appropriate length (see above), no revealing necklines, backline or midriff showing, strapless and spaghetti straps are permitted as long as the neckline and/or backline aren't revealing.
