PTA NEWS: See s Candy Spring Fundraiser will go home on Friday The fundraiser will be from Friday, February 5th Friday, February 19th. Check your child's backpack for the order form. Father Daughter Dance is coming up, the flyer for tickets will go out next week on Wednesday February 10th. Tickets are limited, the dance will be on Friday February 26th from 6-9pm at Los Serranos Country Club. Tickets are $25 per Father/Daughter or $10.00 for an additional sibling. Please note that the sibling must be currently enrolled at Oak Ridge Elementary. If you would like to help out and volunteer at the dance, please email Kelly Long at kellyjoycelong@aol.com Parent Notices: Sixth Grade Immunization Requirement. Remember that your 6 th grade child needs to have their Tdap booster vaccine on or before April 15, 2016. Please provide proof of vaccination to the Oak Ridge Health office. Contact Lynn Rehrer at 909-591-1239 if you need assistance. Lost and Found sweaters and jackets will be donated to charity in the next week or two. Please have your child check before it s too late. Our students have been given Chic-Fil-A certificates for various things in recent months, but these certificates have an expiration date of December, 2015. Chic-Fil-A would like to honor all their certificates, regardless of the expiration date. So please be sure to use those certificates and enjoy a meal on the house, while celebrating your child s accomplishments! 6 th grade free symposium for girls entering 7 th grade next year. This will be on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Chino Hills High. Please see flyer and RSVP. Campbell s soup labels are now being collected and we still need your help collecting box tops!!!! This is an easy way for our school to receive free money!! Thank you in advance for participating. Be watching for Movie Night sign ups. Movie night is going to be Friday, February 19 th from 5:00-7:00 pm in our Media Center. The movie will be Croods. Bring your blanket and pillow if you desire, and be sure to send in your order for snacks as soon as possible!

Beginning Wednesday, February 3 rd, the drop off area right in front of the steps to the entrance of the office building will be reserved for two buses that need to drop off and pick up students. Cones will be placed in that area until the buses drop off the students. The buses will drop off students and immediately exit the parking lot as to not delay your entrance and exit. FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS Please contact the school if your child is going to be absent or late to school. There are a couple of ways you can do this. 1. Go to our web page and fill out absence form (parent drop down menu). 2. Email to: kimm_sanchez@chino.k12.ca.us 3. Phone our office at 909-591-1239 (leave detailed message if after hours).
