These Supplementary Sailing Instructions shall govern this event together with the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions, and information contained in the YWA Offshore Handbook 2015-2016. In the event of conflict these SSI s shall prevail. ALL YACHTS PLEASE KEEP CLEAR OF THE ROTTNEST ISLAND SWIM EVENT FLEET. 1. RULES The sailing instructions in the 2015/2016 YWA Offshore Handbook will apply. 2. NOTICES TO COMPETITORS Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board located at Hillarys Yacht Club. 3. START BOAT The Start Boat will be provided by Ian Ball Warning Signals Offshore Double Handed 0925 Offshore Division 3 0930 Offshore Division 2 0935 Offshore Division 1 0940 4. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS 4.1 VHF Ch 72 will be the race frequency. 4.2 Pre race radio checks will be conducted by Offshore Race Control located at the Fremantle Sailing Club 4.3 Boats should monitor VHF Dual Watch Ch 72 and Ch 16

NOTICE TO MARINERS 1. Following recent advise, please be aware of the following shoals Positioned at approximately 3150002 S 11543701E 3150232 S 11543598E 3149743 S 11542963E 2. It is strongly recommended to remove sails before passing the lighthouse in the harbour. 6. ROUNDING REPORTS All Boats shall make radio contact with Offshore Race Control: i. When abeam of Cape Vlamingh ii. iii. Upon rounding Scarborough Beach Mark or Centaur Reef Spit Failure to make these mandatory reports will result in a penalty of three places on corrected time. This amends Sailing Instruction 17.5.3. 7. PROTESTS a. Protests are to be lodged at Hillarys Yacht Club within 60 minutes of the protesting boat finishing. This amends sailing instruction 15. b. Protests will be heard at Hillarys Yacht on Saturday 27 th February as soon as possible. 8. RESULTS The results of the race will be declared and trophies will be presented at Hillarys Yacht Club at 1730 on Saturday 27th February 2016. All competing Skippers, Crew and Guests are invited to attend. Prizes will be awarded at the same time. 9. ARRIVAL AT HILLARYS Overnight accommodation will be provided for all of the visiting yachts. Please call Hillarys Arrival to confirm your boat accommodation. We are planning on having a rib available to assist you into your boat accommodation. It is advisable to lower the mainsail prior to passing the Lighthouse. Pinky s bar will be open all day. Meals can be purchased after Presentations.
