Jump Club = Fitness + Friends + Fun All you need is a rope and children Remember those childhood days of jump roping for hours while singing jump rhymes?! Jump Club began as a way for children to revive those days of childhood fun as well as keep active during the cold wintry months. The purpose of Jump Club is to promote health and fitness and improve jumping skills in a fun and safe environment.! While each year has a different theme, the 2010 theme was Life s What You Make It.!!! Registration and consent forms are sent out a few months prior to the season giving volunteers time to organize teams, develop the choreography and produce a CD with energetic music that sends a message about lessons of life.! A weekly routine is followed as the children arrive, get stretched out, enjoy a snack, then divide into teams and practice their routines.! At the end of the Jump Club season, jumpers receive a specially designed t-shirt and perform in a Jump Spectacular where families and
friends are invited to attend.!!a Jump Club can be a "Family", a "Primary Class", a "Neighborhood", a "School" or really just a "Rope and Children." It can involve volunteers or a mom and dad, dues or equipment from the neighbor, logo shirts and a Jump Spectacular or a Family Home Evening tradition. So use your imagination along with any of our examples such as the logo, forms, jargon, skill building sheets, choreography, and the Jump Club Rhymes booklet included in the following pages to create your own Jump Club.
