Passing & Dribbling Warm Up (5mins) Set out two lines of 6 cones. Each cone yard apart. with 0 yard gap between the lines of cones. Two lines of players in between each end cone facing each other. Player passes the ball to the opposite line and moves through the cones using any fast footwork movement they choose. : Left foot only Right foot only Touch passing Outside of foot touch inside of foot pass : Quality and accuracy of passing Fast footwork Head up & moves arms Passing & Dribbling Warm Up (5mins) Set out two lines of 6 cones. Technical Exercise - Passing & Receiving to shoot (0mins) Player passes and receives from player to shoot for goal. Player spins around the cone after the shoot and receives a pass from player to shoot for goal. Player replaces player and player replaces player for the rotation Switch sides so players shoot with both feet Set ball so team mate can shoot first time Timing of second movement for cross Type of finish - Power or placement Technical Exercise - v Attacking (0mins) Ball is played into attacker from each side. Attacker receives to turn. Player passing the ball into play moves into the area to defend the attacker spinning to attack the goal. Once done defender becomes new attacker. If defender wins the ball they can attack the other goal. Two v games will be playing at the same time. Tactical Exercise - v Attacking Ball starts central and is passed wide. First touch taken infield to allow overlap. As first pass is played, defenders enter the area along with attackers to create a v attacking overload. If defenders win possession they try to dribble over the end line. Competition - Which team can score most goals and get most points from winning the ball as defensive team. Attack at speed Pass to overlapping player or use as decoy Recognize position of defenders and exploit space Tactical Exercise - v counter attacking Split players into two teams. Each team sets up with defenders in defensive half and one attacker in attacking half and all other players standing next to the goal they are defending. Play starts with GK passing into space to bring reds into play. Reds attack opposite end with CF against to create v. Only the players in the attacking half are involved in the play each time. Ball must be passed into the CF before other attackers can enter attacking half Take advantage of extra players Attack at speed Combination play to break down defender Exploit space Shots on target
