NEWSLETTER Mar., 2018 2004 Hi Y'all, PRESIDENT S NOTES Hope everyone is doing well. We had a great meeting Tuesday Night. Very orderly. Thanks to all for patiently waiting their turn to speak It's easier to get things done this way. I don't think I missed giving everyone the opportunity to have their say. Thanks Again. We had a good report from our diligent Activities Directors /Reporters Mark and George. Good Job, Thanks!!! Welcome New Members Dennis & Beth Young, Mike Jennings & Donna Monroe, James & Becky Pope, and Benny & LuAnn Williams. Pleased to have you all in the Club. Also new\old members who I somehow missed earlier. Sorry about that Mario & Amy Gonzales. A change has been made in the Christmas Party. There will no longer be Door Prizes as per a vote by the membership present. More to follow on this. Maybe less work for Santa's Elves!!! MARK SEZ Howdy LARC Members, Here are some of the past events... Feb. 13 Some of us ate at the R Bar Cafe, Great service, great food, shared FREE King Cake, umm good... Held our Monthly Membership Meeting at 7:00 It was a fun-filled event as usual... Feb.14 Breakfast at Mama's, always fun and entertaining...and as always on Wed. mornings just a little before 7:30... It was also Valentine s Day. Hope the guys kept themselves out of the doghouse by buying flowers or candy. Feb.16 Friday Night Fever I don't remember how many cars, probably a "cupalahundred" or maybe a little less!!!!! hung out for awhile then met some people at the Eagles in Granite Shores for Steak Night at the Eagles... Feb. 22 The Monthly Club Dinner minus a few of the " Mus ca tears," was held at Francesco s. a fine eating establishment of the Italian persuasion. Great food, Even Greater Company... Damn I love this Car Club. Must be the best one ever...i believe everyone had a great time. Thanks goes out to Don Weber for bringing Red Roses directly from his Rock Covered Rose Garden Grotto in Burnet to all our Beautiful Ladies... Feb.24th Georgetown Car and Plane Show was canceled, to be tried again March 3rd. Email to follow for caravan info Here s what s going to happen: Mar.2nd Friday Night Fever at the Food Court. Tell your Friends about it so we can get more cars...we talked about going to some Cruise-Ins at the last meeting, Mar. 3rd Rescheduled Georgetown Car and Plane Show was rescheduled, So let's get together and go to Top Notch Burgers Mar.3rd. It starts about 5:30:pm..Maybe we go there after the Georgetown Air and car Show... I'll send out an email with more info...i'll post weekend events to consider at the beginning of the week, so y'all can plan... Dinner's ready so Ta Ta, for Now, I know Frank, I'm late as usual - Mark, all is forgiven!! (Frank), but you can bring Cyndy flowers, and I like Reese s Peanut Cups. 2

And were accepted as written ACTION: Motion was made to submit secretary s report by Shirley Anderson and seconded by Pat Koehn. All members present were in agreement. 3

Treasurer s Report The report was presented by Barbara Weber Barbara Weber ACTION: No action made on the treasurer s report. Past/Future Activities Mark Kidd/George Dewitt See Report (May be viewed on club website and the Newsletter) Mark noted that we need door prizes. Bob Deets and Jerry Davis are retiring from collecting funds and door prizes. We all thanked them for their many years of service. Mark, George and Don will take over the duties. Mark announced that per Ron Adwers suggestion, he spoke with local newspapers, and they have donated ¼ page ad (the Burnet Bulletin, Picayune and Highlander) to thank our advertisers and large donators. Old Business Don Weber Discussion over club door prizes at Christmas party was continued. Millie Deets had made the motion at January meeting that the $1000 spent should go to our charities. After discussions, another motion was made by Millie Deets to use part of the $1000 to add the band/music back into the Christmas Party. Offelia Johnson seconded the motions, motion passed with the majority voting to use the funds for a band and giving the rest to charity. Don Weber New Business Tom Anderson stated that D.D. Pelham has been purchasing cake and goodies for our monthly club dining out program out of his own pocket. Tom made a motion that theclub reimburse D.D. for these purchases monthly. (approximately $140) After much discussion, it was decided that the cake would be eliminated for our dinners. Tom withdrew his motion. (Bob and Vee Brown have volunteered to make/purchase the cake for the February 22nd Dinner at Francesco s Thank You!) Information Item Thank you to Keri Tyldesley, Rachel DeWitt and Sue Armstrong for the goodies tonight.
