RCCC Members, Another year has come and gone. I must admit that this year seemed to go by faster than last year. So many great events happened this year and so many great members helped make them happen. Car shows, Cruise ins, Friday Night Lights dinners, weekend cruises, drive in movies, and what ever else we did this year created a fun year. Though not all members attended all functions, that s what makes this a great club, there is something for everyone. I can only hope that the next year brings many more events and activities to keep our members excited and interested in attending and participating. I want to thank everyone who supported our club over the past two years that I was your President. As a group, we raised a lot of money for charity and in the process, I had a great time and made many new friends. I believe that s what I enjoy the most when we get together with others. The last event this year will be the RCCC Christmas party. We have a very excited group working on the event so I hope that you will plan on attending and enjoy the evening with us. Tim Nutz 2011 President 4
It s beginning to look a lot like Christmas Then a RCCC favorite, night time parades. Light em up and rev em up. This year the first night parade was the East Ridge Christmas parade. I don t know how long this parade has been going, but this year was my tenth time participating in this parade and my tenth time dining at Cracker Barrel after the parade. River City Corvette Club loves the Christmas season and all the parades, Christmas parties and fellowship that goes with it. This year the parades started early. The Hamilton Place Mall parade was on Nov 3. Wow early but a lot of fun. Bill Harless and the famed C5 Biscuit ready to roll in the Hamilton Place parade. What is the season without the final car show of the season, RCCC participated in the Mountain View Chevrolet open car show Nov. 10, great weather and a great show. Mountain View Chevrolet Car Show More money for local charities. East Ridge Parade Pictures continued on next page. All monies from our car shows go to local charities or families in need. 5
It s beginning to look a lot like Christmas continued 6
The Soddy Daisy Parade is always a local favorite. It is a small town parade where everyone has a great time and the kids love catching the candy tossed by the parade participants. No lights in this parade, just decorate the Vettes and lets have a parade 7
It s beginning to look a lot like Christmas continued After the parade, birthday celebration Ron Kellogg!!!! 8
The flagship parade of the Christmas season is the Downtown Starlight Parade, sponsored by Volkswagon. This year was no exception. The weather was perfect with temperatures in the low 70 s. I think this had the largest number of ever of parade spectators. They were all down Market Street and along Broad Street. The floats were all lit up and of course RCCC had the Vettes all decorated up with lights, tinsel and the word is that the Grinch road in Ron Hasting Vette. Just sayin If you didn t get a chance to join us this year, there is always next year. These parades will get even the Grinch in the Christmas spirit. Larry handling babies. Wait, might he be thinking of running for club President in 2014?????? 9

Who doesn t like to get together at Christmas and enjoy the friendship of those you have enjoyed mingling with through out the year or seeing some folks that you haven t seen during the year. Now toss in some food, a DJ and a great venue to hold it all and wa la you have the RCCC Christmas party. As the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. Enjoy reminiscing about the years events. What an exiting year it was. Besides doing our dinner cruises RCCC also went to Memphis for Vettes on Beale Street along with about 400 other Corvettes, who can forget partying down with the VOTS and running the snake, what an adventure. How about the RCCC car shows two Mountain View Chevrolet shows, our 4 th of July show on the lake and our flagship Classic Car Show on the River. As we moved into fall the RCCC provided Corvettes to most of the local high school homecomings, we also participated in Vettefest in Gatlinburg and who can forget the Christmas parades. What a year it was. A little something for everybody. If you missed these events come on out and join us in 2013 which promises to be an even better year. Ron Kellogg VP presenting the Presidents plaque to Tim Nutz outgoing RCCC President and Jean Nutz first lady. MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone. Tim and Sarah Frost as Ron Kellogg presents Tim with his first place trophy for the most 3 rd place finishes in car shows. 11
