Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (MODS), the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), the City of Winnipeg and Province of Manitoba are honoured to invite you to our city in the summer of 2018 where you will be our guests for the inaugural World Flying Disc Federation World Masters Ultimate Club Championships from July 29 th through August 4 th, 2018 held at Little Mountain Sportsplex and IJL Ultimate Park. It is an honour and a privilege for our city and country to host such a prestigious event and we look forward to delivering an amazing Ultimate tournament with first class amenities and entertainment. To help us with the successful delivery of this event, we are asking for your support to help make sure teams are well informed about the tournament and meet all information and payment deadlines. Registration for Teams, Players and Guests will open September 15 th, 2017. Late Athlete payments will be accepted until the end of February at an increased rate. There will be no extension of deadlines past February 28 th for any reason. All payments to be made online and are in US currency (USD). National Federations may accept bids and make payments on behalf of unnamed teams. Team fees are non refundable. Player fees can be transferred within a team but are non refundable. All bank and transaction fees are at the cost of the registrant. Guest fees are for coaches, trainers and team personnel. Their fee entitles them to a player pack, entry at the park, entry to all games, shuttle service from listed tournament hotels and access to the finals.
FOOD & MEAL PLAN There are many options for food in Winnipeg and at the WFDF 2018 WMUCC. Teams joining us will find that they can find any type of food they are looking for in the city. We have a very multicultural population offering a very diverse cuisine and many out of country options. Teams can visit restaurants or have meals delivered to their hotels. For those looking for meal and food options on site, there will be 7-10 food vendors on site who will only take Canadian currency as payment. These vendors require no pre-purchasing and will sell meals to anyone looking for good food. The WMUCC meal plan is simple We offer breakfast and dinner options with a diverse and changing menu. The meal plan is offered Monday through Friday. Cost of Breakfast is $10 (USD) and served from 7am until 10am each morning at LMS Sportsplex. Cost of dinner is $20 (USD) and is served from 4pm until 8pm each evening at LMS Sportsplex. The meal plan is open to everyone who books in advance. You can choose only the meals you want as part of the plan. WMUCC 2018 Food Cost Time Location Registration Opens Breakfast $10 (USD) 7am-10am LMS October 1st, 2017 Dinner $20 (USD) 4pm-8pm LMS October 1st, 2017 Meal plan will be open for purchase until June 30th, 2018. There are no on site sales for the meal plan. All prices are in US currency (USD). The menu for this event is online at WMUCC2018.com Pre-purchased meal plans will be issued at team check in.
ACCOMMODATION WFDF 2018 WMUCC has partnered with CanadInns and the Radisson Winnipeg to bring you great options at great prices. Reservations can be made by visiting WMUCC2018.com and choosing the hotel that best suits your needs. Specific contact information for that hotel is provided and open to all teams or guests of WMUCC on a first come first serve basis. There are many other hotels to choose from while visiting Winnipeg in 2018, however it is important to mention that only host hotels will offer free shuttle service to the event venues and entertainment. Host hotels also offer the best rates and options as a guest at WFDF 2018 WMUCC. All hotels are within walking distance to food and entertainment. Hotels will charge in Canadian currency (CAD). REGISTRATION Expression of interest to attend WMUCC 2018 EOI open 15 th July - Closes 31 st August, 2017. ANY/ALL club teams wanting to attend must complete the online EOI form. https://goo.gl/forms/gjwctpcpmo6xsufp1 Bid allocation list is published by the WFDF Ultimate Committee on 7th Sept - This is based on data collected during the EOI period Bid allocations will be issued via email to each member National Federation 7 th Sept (Bids are not issued direct to teams) National Federations must accept or decline bids offered to firm registration offers BEFORE Sept 15 th. Team and Player Registration Teams/ National Federations may make payments any time after the 15 th Sept once the NF has confirmed they accept their bids. Any NF may accept and hold bids on behalf of teams (yet to be nominated by the NF) however all payment deadlines must be met. We can accept team and player fees from National Federations if you choose. All registrations will be completed online through the event website. GEMSPro will be handling the registration and accreditation for this event at wmucc2018.com. TRANSPORTATION Transportation to and from Little Mountain Sportsplex is free for all athletes and teams who are staying at WMUCC event hotels. Shuttle service will begin each day before 7am and will end each night at 1am. At event hotels, there will be bus stations for the event marked in the lobby and at the entrance to the property. There will be a loading and drop off area at Little Mountain Sportsplex to get athletes in and out of the park easily. Staff are on hand 24 hours a day during the event to share updated shuttle schedules and any changes made to shuttle service.
