Banner Newsletter December 15, 2017 Baldwin Street Middle School music program is second to none! Our bands and choirs performed beautiful holiday concerts the past two weeks. Our orchestra concert will be this Sunday, December 17, 2017, starting at 2:00 pm at the Hudsonville Freshman Campus Auditorium. We are excited to see the progress of our students as they perform this weekend! We are proud of our talented students and dedicated music staff who have devoted much time and effort to create these performances. Special congratulations go out to Mrs. Diane Scott, our choir director, on her recent publication of a journal article in the Michigan Music Education Association (Fall 2017) and the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (Spring 2017). Her article, Music Literacy in the Choral Classroom, focuses on the complexity of reading music and the importance using a variety of ways to focus on music literacy. Mrs. Scott is just one example of our dedicated teachers, working to provide an excellent experience for the BMS students! Mrs. Scott, thank you for your passion and dedication for our students and your profession.
